Have I miscarried?

I'm 5 weeks and 6 days. Had 2 day 5 embryos put back. Last night I had quite a bit of bleeding. I'd also noticed that a symptom I'd been having (itchy nipples) had disappeared. I spoke to my out of hours clinic and they've said to arrange a scan today but that it might be too early to even see anything. I probably shouldn't have, but I did a pregnancy test last night and it came back negative. I am wondering if it was accurate because I only managed to wee a small amount.

The bleeding has stopped too and it was nowhere near a period amount but alot more than spotting. Also had itchy nipples again in the night and this morning.

Waiting for the clinic to get in touch to arrange the scan but my head is just going round and round.

Surely a miscarriage would be alot more blood?

Symptoms can come and go - the bleeding may of been due to irritation from using pessaries Hope you hear from clinic soon

I’d recommend checking your progesterone levels in case they’re low

Hi lovely that must be worrying 😢 have they also suggested an HCG blood test too? Sometimes than can be helpful at the early stages more than the scan and indicate if they should be seeing something by then. Have you taken another test with a good amount of urine as they aren’t always accurate if you don’t have enough pee? Xx

Hang in there, it is too early to jump to conclusions! I had a large and painful bleed at 6 weeks, was convinced it was over, the scan revealed I had a large subchorionic hematoma and the baby was OK. I was told to continue my meds but stop the baby aspirin, which makes these things worse, as well as to take it easy until it goes away. Keeping all fingers crossed for you.

I hope everything is okay. A miscarriage at this point wouldn’t expect to be much more than perhaps a heavy period but it would most likely be more than spotting. Perhaps take another test on a morning wee and get that scan. They won’t be able to see much but maybe able to see a yolk sac. Good luck!

Thanks all. I had a scan yesterday and could see the heartbeat and all is good 🥰 there are actually twins at the moment! But couldn't see the second heartbeat as it's so early so have to go back in a week's time. Can't believe it! Feel all over the place because I was convinced that it was all over.
