2ww - early cramping and egg white discharge

Hi, I had my FET on Monday 27th Nov it was a 5 day hatching blastocyst. On Tuesday and Wednesday I had cramping but not much since except some egg white discharge yesterday and some very mild cramps and backache . I’m finding it hard to stay positive. I just need some moral support. Thanks x

Hi SaintsGirl. The cramping might be down to the procedure, as there is still a bit of pushing and prodding even with a FET. Hopefully will soon settle down. The egg white discharge could be the effect of oestrogen on your cervix, which shouldn't be anything to worry about. keeping my fingers crossed for you. Diane

Keep going SaintsGirl. I’m sure it’s nothing serious, just settling down as Diane said. I had transfer the same day so know how you feel! I’ve had no symptoms at all which is equally a worry! Hang on in there. X

Hi! I just wanted to say that I had some cramping after embryo transfer (I think it was just a bit of pain and bruising from the egg collection). Also, white discharge is quite normal and often continues into pregnancy so I don't think you should worry about either of these things! Easier said than done though.... Good luck x

Hi I had my 2nd FET and I have hardly had any symptoms which makes me very uneasy. Cramping is quite normal I've been told and so is the discharge. It's due to the oestrogen you are taking . Try not to worry, so your body isn't under any stress. I know it's. Or that simple, but try and keep busy. I feel like whatever is going to happen, will happen, so try and relax. Big hugs x

It really is.... finding it harder this time as I now know what can happen, also don’t feel like we have the best chance due to not making blastocyst xx

Oh Hun.... could it be that it’s too early to test? I’ve just had a lot of cramping and niggles. Think my bloating my have gone down I don’t know if that’s a positive or negative xx

SaintsGirl in reply tocls37

I’m hoping it’s too early but you know when you have that feeling it’s just not worked . I have been having cramps since tfr but last day or so only little niggles. So I’m getting myself prepared mentally for a bfn on test day😢

are you on progesterone injections instead of pessaries? x

SaintsGirl profile image
SaintsGirl in reply tocls37

No, I’m on clexane injections (thinks it’s a blood thinner) and I’m on progynova, aspirin, prednisone (a steroid of some sort) and I’m on utrogestron pessaries as well. 😳

Mine was a 4 day embryo as well and only the one. Didn't get to 5 day stage but I thought rather better inside than out and went for 4 day and BFP. Hope it's your turn next.

Hello. Cramping is good. Could mean the embryo is attaching. I had cramping for 3 days and now period like cramps daily and got my BFP on Friday. Good luck and seems like a good sign.

I think the best chance you can give your embie to implant is by not overthinking about the odds right away. It affects overall hormonal balance that might counter the implantation. Implantation is usually crampy - some women might not feel it but most do. Also, 30% women get the spotting too. So unless it turns to severe cramps or bleeding you can count on a BFP totally. I did conceive once (for a few weeks) had both cramps and spotting which was confirmed as BFP by beta (did HPT as well and they turned blazing red BFP). Don't worry everything will be just fine - make sure you relax and stay happy over the whole 2ww span. Sending baby dust your way! :)
