When all hopes were lost this happens.. I was in shock. I saw a streak of light brown on Sunday 9DP5DT, which is my period day and thought it was all over. I was waiting for AF to come as I felt shivering all day.
Today is my OTD but this pic was taken yesterday 11DP5DT. I couldn’t believe my eyes. The streak of light brown seems to be a signed. It’s very early day, no symptoms whatsoever. Lost the heavy boobs too.
Questions pls: I’m on 3 cyclogests, 1 Lubion, 1 Clexane a day. Did you continue everything until 12 weeks? My clinic added Aspirin 75mg but their note isn’t clear when I spoke to someone in a rush today whether all previous medications including cyclogests to continue till 12 weeks of pregnancy.

Yes stay on all your drugs for now. When you have your scan around 7 weeks your clinic will tell you how to wean off things but for now keep everything as is x
thank you vm Daisy! Hope they cling on.. I have never had Aspirin, it’s funny to see on the label that do not take this if pregnant. I’m sure it’s fine. Do you know why they add Aspirin after preg test is confirmed?
Are you on the right aspirin? it should be the 75mg one you swallow whole. Its often referred to as 'baby aspirin' They advise you take it to prevent pre-eclampsia xx
thank you Rain. It’s been long, I did tell my husband it was over when I saw the streak of brown. These are gonna be late implanters im sure, I tested on 5DP5DT BFN
Hey, congratulations!! 🥰
After my positive I continued just the 2 x cyclogest and clexane until 12 weeks. I was given enough until the 6/7 week scan and then they prescribed some more. Take care of yourself and enjoy ❤️ x
thank you Katy, hope you enjoy your pregnancy so far 😊 I just got told my early scan date is 16 March, there will be a lot of wait between now til then. I’m nervous 😩
The waiting is so difficult isn’t it?! It’s the worst part of the process that is for sure. Make plans where you can though and work to focus on milestones - although 16th March seems like a long time away right now, it’s just less than a month 🥰 you can do this!! X
Congratulations 🥳. My clinics policy is to stay on all meds until 12 weeks as just before then the placenta should start doing its job and the progesterone is no longer needed. I waited until after my 12 week scan to stop meds to be sure the placenta was working. As for the Clexane when you get your booking appointment with the midwives if you tick enough risk categories you maybe put back on blood thinners in later pregnancy or kept on them for the whole pregnancy it will depend on what your areas policy is and the risk factors you tick. I had to start 40mg a day of blood thinners at 26 weeks and have to take them for 6 weeks after birth. Good luck 👍 💓
My clinic continues all meds until 12 weeks, although they stop the lubion if you’re on a combo and just continue the cyclogest. Not sure of their rationale but they’re also happy for you to continue on both which I would have (why fix something that isn’t broke?)
Hey! let me know about aspirin!!! I’ve been taking baby aspirin and recently got a BFP too and I wasn’t sure whether to continue to take it ! I’ll check with my clinic but if you have any info let me know!
they only added Aspirin 75mg when I confirmed BFP. I’m taking everything I already have estrogen, pessaries, Lubion, Clexane, plus Aspirin. Like everyone mentioned here we will need to continue all the meds until about 12w, if not more.. unfortunately I might need to stay on blood thinning because I’m over 35 and if I’m categorised as high risk group in my council
We also have a pregnancy support group on Facebook with monthly zoom meetings. If you'd like more info please feel free to email me claire@fertilitynetworkuk.org
