baseline scan before stims only 6 follicles

hi, has anyone had a low number of follicles at their baseline scan? In previous rounds I have had 11-13. The nurse said my cycle will likely still go ahead but meds may be upped. Our Dr is going to call tomorrow and I’m not sure what to do if he gives us the option to go ahead or cancel?

Looking for any positive stories or just advice! Xx

Hello lovely. It's always a worry isn't it. I had 11 at baseline in my first cycle and only 7 in my second cycle. But by the time I got to collection, there were 15 and I got 10 eggs. So more can be recruited throughout stims.

Every round is different of course, its just so hard to predict! Hope the next scan shows a few more xxx

hi, I had 7 at the baseline and 6 after stims and then only 3 eggs collected ( which I was completely devastated about) and then only one fertilised normally (more devastated and wanted to give up ) but this embryo became my perfect now 1 year old baby boy 🍀

So each cycle was different for me and my lowest egg count was my successful cycle. I got really hung up on numbers but really all that mattered was when the right egg showed up - I hope this brings you the same luck as it did me 🍀 x

I had 3 follicles in total which resulted in 3 eggs, 2 fertilised and 1 successfully implanted. She is about to turn 1.

As they say it only takes one x
