belly pain following embryo transfer

transfer nr 6 done 🤪, cycle nr 3 ( 11 eggs / 8 mature/ 2 emby day 5 ) . Had the transfer on 25 January and since I have pain as AF is coming. Felling really nervous 😬 and impatient. Even like had 5 transfers so far with one missed miscarriage all this rollercoaster 2ww is driving me crazy. Was a fresh transfer so I am scared to test early because of the trigger injection . I am not bloated this time , no sore boobs, no nothing, just pain , lower abdominal pain and back pain wich is scare me that my be another bfn. Did any of you had literally nothing apart from pain and had a positive test? I know everyone is different but at least to know I am not alone. My test day is not until the 6 of January and on my app is showing Expecting period in 2 days .

hi Marianna, from personal experience fresh transfers cause abdominal pain because you’re still healing from the egg retrieval. Try not to overthink it as the pain you’re going through is normal for fresh transfers and doesn’t indicate success or failure. All the best xx

thank you , is more the fact that on my all transfers had some kind of side effects from meds ( bloating/ sore breast) accompanied with the pain . This time is literally nothing but pain . I try to hold my self and not going on internet ( very hard to stay away from google 🙈) .

honestly Google will not tell you what’s going on inside YOUR body. Others may say this is a good or bad sign but it doesn’t indicate what’s happening for you. Having been through a successful natural pregnancy myself (prior to embarking on IVF) I can tell you that it’s just too early for symptoms. I only had sore breasts 2 weeks after my positive test, and other symptoms followed. Try to distract yourself and be patient. Best of luck!
