Hlw everyone, hope yu are doing good..I had my egg collection last monday.today the clinic told me if everything goes fine they will transfer me on Saturday.. But still I have some cramping pain in my lower tummy..Since yesterday there was much pain..now it gradually sunsided, but not gone properly. Is it normal?..I am scared about embryo transfer due to the pain? Anyone share the experience of embryo transfer, the procedure is it painful? And after procedure pain and so on?

Hey, I'd check with your clinic, just in case the pain is OHSS (high risk if 25+ follicles). I found the transfer unpainful twice previously. Hopefully will have one sat too. Good luck! X

The transfer shouldn't be painful at all Lovely. It's just like a smear test, and pretty quick. The hardest part is having a full bladder 😆 Some ladies do struggle a bit if they have an unusual shaped uterus but that's rare. But do speak with your clinic if you're still in pain from collection xx

Thank yu.I heard some women said, after transfer the pain still persist. Is it normal? I had severe endometriosis and really scared about that..

Hello, I’ve had two transfers and whilst they are not painful, found them uncomfortable as my bladder was really full and pressure is placed on the tummy (for the ultrasound), so quite uncomfortable. However, it didn't last long and completely fine after. It is advised to rest fully for two days after. Best of luck xx

No, I didn’t need any but I think I was told I could have paracetamol if required.

To me my first transfer was really painful, and it turned out I had a really narrow passage in my cervix, which was probably also the reason why I had struggled so much with period pain all those years earlier, but that condition should be rare, and after I had a little surgery to remove a polyp in my uterus, my many transfers have not been painful at all, which is the normal! But about the pain in your lower belly after collection, could continue, and in case of a pregnancy they could actually get worse! In that case you have to contact the hospital for a lookup as it could be an OHSS, which will get worse as hcg levels rise. The good thing would be that such a condition (worsened after transfer) kind of predicts a positive outcome at OTD 😊😊😊 In any case don't take other painkiller than Paracetamol at home. Do you need more (that's not enough) you need medical attention. But also: You can absolutely get a positive outcome without OHSS, so I still cross fingers for that your pain will go away soon and that the transfer goes smoothly 🥰 And if course that it's successful 🥰🥰🥰
