2nd round after years, what to do - I've forgotten everything!

Hi everyone,

I've not been here since my first round of egg collection in 2019 I think, which was disastrous with only 2 matured eggs and no resulting embryos.

The failure came after multiple surgeries and being very unwell with severe endometriosis and it hit me hard.

I've had another surgery and 8 months of zoladex since and now finally having another go.

I've had an initial scan and amh tested and will be having first appointment with nurse tomorrow. Feel like I've forgotten everything! What do I ask? What things are important? It's an NHS funded cycle so what extra tests/scans can I ask (and pay for) to make sure I throw everything into this cycle? I don't think I will be trying another round if this one fails. They said my husband's sperm was fine last time but I really want to make sure we try everything.

Just take it a step at a time and I am sure it will all come back to you once you start your treatment . Remember if unsure of anything you can ask the nurse/clinic about it Wishing you good luck once you start your treatment cycle

good luck to you 🤗 I’m sure it will all come flooding back! I was the same had a few years between collections (lots of reasons) but as soon as it all started again I was like ‘oh yeah I remember that!’

We didn’t have much luck with getting info from the clinic on ‘extra’ paid for things on nhs unless they were completely proven to be of use…. Same clinic now private through is happy to do these tests and try things 🤣 so if there is something that you are thinking might be helpful defo push them on it.
