Trying to stay positive

Hello ladies, I’m currently taking meds and will have my FET soon but I’m struggling to stay positive after a failed fresh embryo transfer last time.

Has anyone had success with a FET rather than a fresh transfer? I’ve heard lots of different stories xxx

I have fallen pregnant on both fets (miscarriage and current pregnancy). Two fails and a chemical for fresh rounds. I think my body responds better to fets as less stress. Hope yours is the same x

Thank you for replying. Your experience has made me hopeful. Congratulations on your little rainbow baby. Sorry you had to go through your miscarriage first though. How far on are you? Did they scratch you when you had your FET? Did you do anything g differently? Xx

I did have aspirin this time rather than first fet but I’m not convinced that was the reason this one stuck, I genuinely think it’s luck and less stress on my body than a fresh round! The fet meds agree with me much better than stims I think. They tend to be quite a lot less stressful and time precious!

I did debate the scratch but decided against it for cost reasons (we had to self fund). Our consultant wasn’t overly keen on extras at all when I asked but I have read posts where people really thought that was the reason their round worked.

We are 16 weeks this time and exceptionally cautious and very grateful.

Best of luck for your transfer!

I should add though that I read that some conditions (like pcos which is my issue) do better with fet than fresh cycles! I don’t know if it’s true but something that helped me!

Thank you so much for this! I also have PCOS so fingers crossed. I dont feel anywhere near as stressed as I have previously felt. I have also heard different things about the scratch.

Aww I'm so pleased for you. All the best with your pregnancy and thank you for your kind words xx

Hey I’m at similar stages as you, unsuccessful fresh transfer and looking to do a frozen embryo transfer next. Trying to stay positive too. I’ve come across this link on this site,

theduff.co.uk/fresh-embryo-...

and a article on this made me giggle and also give me hope for a frozen cycle. All the best and take care x
