Hi, I’m on a FET cycle and started taking estrogen tablets three days ago and I’ve been feeling sick since so I presume it’s these tablets that are causing it. I want to eat healthy whilst building the lining up but I’ve hardly eaten anything and if I have it’s been rubbish foods, now I’m beating myself up about it x

nausea with estrogen tablets
I am not sure what your dosage is but speak to your doctor. Maybe you can split the dosage during the day.
I experienced this and adjusted my the times. I took mine very early morning 6.30am and lay in bed for an hour. I then took another dose at 10.30pm and went straight to bed. I coped better with the nausea when I was in bed. My clinic also suggested I eat a little more protein with my meals to overcome the urge to eat junk food and not to be worrying about what I ate, they said it’s blood flow which keeps the lining healthy and go for quick walks and easy pelvic movements. Have you asked your clinic?
I am currently on 2mg , 3x a day as well , also feeling nauseous 😔 Awaiting my first FET after 3 failed IVF cycles.
I’m also currently taking 3x daily although I was told to take all 3 at the one time. Feeling fine with them. Probably a little hungrier than normal but trying to be good and eat healthily with a little chocolate in between 😊 x
Hope u get get some relief, I just know I feel better when I take them and take a nap, I seem to be on high dose, 3 oral tablets and 2 vaginally, 10mg a day.
Those usually cause nausea for me in the beginning so I ask for a zofran prescription to help me get through .
thanks everyone. They clinic have said I could try one tablet in the morning and then take two before bed. Hopefully it will settle
I took my estrogen exactly after my embryotransfer. It was 2mg 3xday and I felt the same. Talked to my ob and insisted on taking the exact amount 3 times a day. Ask your doctor and follow his instructions. But nothing to be worried about. It is really common. Hope your journey has a sweet ending soon 👶🏼
I am on them now, alongside the patches and also started feeling nauseous. I am having to force myself to eat as just don’t feel like it either!
Thanks, I think I feel like I’ve also just generally gone off food a bit. I’m vegetarian so some fertility rich good options are limited and feel bored of eating similar foods. I’ve been quite good overall with diet and lost nearly a stone in 3 months… but some days I’ve really felt like eating junk!
hopefully once you’ve been on it a while, the nausea will settle.
Well done for keeping on top of healthy eating, I’m definitely going to try my best this coming week. Going to do some exercise tomorrow, I know I will feel better for it.
Today I feel tummy pains and an upset tummy, so appetite really not there. so not had any greens today and just had some eggs, beans and avocado. Hopefully can stomach more tomorrow. Transfer day is 18 Jan, what about you?
