When the eggs are frozen fertilised are they frozen together if there’s more then one or separately? We haven’t been given much information about the frozen cycle

Many thanks

Separately I’ve always assumed as you can have the embryos defrosted one at a time. They usually leave them for five days after fertilisation then assess which look strong enough to survive the freeze and thaw process.

I was lead to believe that they were frozen separately so they can defrost them one at a time although Im sure your clinic would keep you right. xx

I’ve been led to believe the same as Lizzie and Cinderella - as they that each embie separately xxx

Thankyou all xx

Hi Smudge, I was asked if I wanted them frozen one per straw, I said yes because it means when they are thawed you don't have to thaw all of them at the same time, the clinic charged us for the total number of straws xx
