Hi,
A bit of our back story:
We've been trying for a baby for over 4 years. We fell pregnant a few months in to trying but unfortunately there was no heartbeat at our 12 week scan.
Since then we found out there's male and female infertility issues.
I have a VERY low AMH level and I don't always ovulate each month. And have been told I'm perimenopause.
We went for icsi ivf 4 times, each time unfortunately failed.
We want to do another round of ivf, using donor eggs this time (which would change our success percentage from 10% to 75%), but unfortunately we're unable to afford it.
It's possible that I may have Endometriosis, I'm on the waiting list for a Laparoscopy to check.
MY QUESTION:
I started bleeding Saturday evening (just over 24 hours ago). I wasn't due my period until a weeks time and I'm pretty regular. So bleeding was very unexpected. My first thought is it could be implantation. The bleeding started 7 Days after Ovulation. On day 20 of my usually 28 day cycle.
So perfect timing.
The bleeding has been a flow not just spotting.
Usually my periods last only 4 days, starts really slow on the first day, and overnight and into day 2 and 3 it's heavy, and half way through day 3 and into day 4 becomes light again and stops.
This bleeding has been lighter than my period would usually be at this stage. By this point my period would have filled quite a lot of the pad up overnight. I woke up this morning and just under half my pad was full.
Could this be implantation bleeding?
The blood has been very dark brown. It looks thick on the pad but looks very watery and pink when I wipe.
This morning after taking my first pee of the day, the blood was very slimey and bright red.
And there were a couple of very small jelly like bits of blood. The biggest being about 4mm, so still very tiny.
Since Sunday morning I've had lower tummy cramps on and off. They don't last long. And sometimes there's a 3-5 hour gap between having them.
Since starting my period as a teenager, I've never been a week early at getting my period. I don't think I've ever been more than 2 days earlier than expected. So this bleeding has caught me completely off guard.
Does it sound like implantation? Has anyone else had implantation bleeding like this?
After 4 years of trying, hope completely fades, you just feel sad all the time. And expect any moment of hope to turn into a big fat negative. I started bleeding on the due date that our baby should have been born 3 years ago. I hope it was a sign. I hope life won't be that cruel as we've been through so much already. But all of us struggling to be mummy's and daddies out there know, that's not how life works.
I'm hoping this is our miracle.
It would be really nice to know other people's thoughts if this could be implantation or not?
I'm scared of the answers but came here for those honest answers πππππ
