Prague IVF medication

Ladies, I'm based in the UK (Northern Ireland) we are travelling to Prague in January for treatment and its out first time doing this abroad. Can anyone give me advise on the medication part...... Is there anything in the UK that helps fund our medication, any private health care, Do GPS help at all?!

hello, I am from Scotland ivf in Spain. There’s honestly very little to no help when you cross into the private ivf abroad. Our gp was next to useless, wouldn’t help at all. We came home from Spain with the medication to save the hassle of trying to get it here and I’m so glad we did xxx

Thabk you, yes that's what I thought I can't seem to know of anyone who got help here with the process aboard, I am actually reaching out to see what it costs to get it from our clinic and pay online pharmacy, which would be the cheapest xx

there are a few online pharmacy’s that I’m sure the folk on here could give you advise on. We went to the chemist beside our clinic and took home the amount we thought we would need. We tried a few years back to get medication here and we had to pay a stupid price to get the Spanish prescription changed so they would accept it even though it was in English 🤦‍♀️Turned out the meds on the prescription were less than a tenner 🤦‍♀️ Xxx

Oh my word that's mental!!! Well for sure I'm gonna see what way they would cost us if we got a flight over as could work out so much cheaper in the long run, we paid for medication here in our home clinic via a online pharmacy and cost us the second time £2100 for everything was madness x

My go was useless, I went to Prague too bad got the medication on the pharmacy next to the clinic.I got a letter for the plane , I didn’t even out my case into cargo but up on the plane with me. I showed the letter and that’s it. You have to leave the medication S in their original package. I had tons of injections in my bag 😂

If you do end up with a Czech prescription that you need to fulfill here, I used this online pharmacy to convert it to a uk prescription

We did IVF in Brno, Czech Republic. I got some of my medication from their pharmacy and some from a supermarket pharmacy. You do need the original prescription for UK pharmacies (not printed out by you).

Yes the clinic has told me that they can send me the hard copies, I have reached out to them for a quote of meds from their pharmacyand then from theor online pharmacy........ Then I need to price my own pharmacy here to see if their cost xx

It's worth checking a couple of different pharmacies. My local one wanted around £300 for decapetyl injection. The supermarket pharmacy was £80...
