Ivf medication arrives tomorrow!!

Eeek I’m so excited (and nervous) to start!!! I am praying this works first time but I know there is the chance it will not..don’t know how I’m going to handle it if it doesn’t work.. fingers, toes and everything crossed 🤞

Mine arrives tomorrow too 😀 however I don’t start my long protocol until the 6th August so I’ve still got a bit to go!! When do you start hunny? X x

I start taking the pill on 11th July. But I am going to ring them today and see if I can start straight away...I don’t know if i was told that date just to allow time for the medication to arrive. At the moment my baseline scan is on 8th August...is this your first round? X

Hey Kirsty 😊 What a wonderfully exciting time for you & a fantastic, positive step towards starting your family.

I expect that your clinic has worked out the dates precisely, to fit with your cycle, so I don’t think you can start early. Great that you are super keen though! 11th will come around soon enough and you’ll be away xx

I hope this works out for you straight away, I really do. Do try to remember though, that for the majority of people it doesn’t work first time... So if you can, try to picture this as your trial run so that you don’t set yourself up for a fall.

so it's your big today I guess - starting the medication.

I only received mine today and got scared of the amount of medication I will have to take. I'm starting to take them on the 17th of July, it's my first cycle too.

Let me know how it goes for you and good luck! What medication are you starting with?

Because my periods are sooo irregular I have to take the pill till 28th so it brings on a period. Annoying because it means waiting even longer...I have a baseline scan on 1st August then the injections begin! I feel the same, especially all the pessaries which I have never done before..I can’t believe how a body can even cope being on the amount of medication I’m gonna be on. Scary!

I am supposed to take tablets (4 at a time) starting with P (I can’t remember the name now) from 17-23 of July which will be from day 21 of my cycle. Then I have my first scan on the 25 of July. This is all I know for now....

It’s really exciting but scary isn’t it. Feels like progress and we have waited such a long time for this

Yes, it gives some hope but at the same time it scares me. So do you know what tablets are/will you be taking ?

Wishing you all the best in your journey. The injections are actually not the worst bit and you do get used to it really quickly. It's grrat thst you are so positive and really hope it works out first time. However, I do echo about what others say about trying to prepare (as much as you can) that you may need a few goes at this. Getting to the transfer part always take a much longer than you think. I have my fingers crossed for you that you get a happy result xx
