Help - messed up ivf medication dose!

Hi All,

I was suppose to take my meriofert by 8pm. I had panic when mixing 3 vials (450iu), and then after i had mixed the first vial, it took me about 25 mins before i mixed it with the 2nd and 3rd vial as i was trying to ring my clinic, etc. Do you think my meriofert dosage would still be effective given i used it about 30 mins after reconstitution?

Going out of my mind.

Many thanks in advance for any responses

I can’t see why 30 mins would make a difference, try not to worry and talk to the clinic . X

Hi Leah, ironically the clinic called this morning and put another doubt in my mind as she thought i was referring to it being out of the fridge! Anyway she said its ok to use upto 1hour after it has been reconstituted (phew...!). Hope you got on ok with your EC 😘. They found an extra potentially viable follicle on my left ovary, so that was a bonus (13mm) and 2 small ones (8mm and 9mm) but the small ones may not catch up to the bigger ones.

Yes absolutely fine...it takes ages first few times of mixing...you'll get quicker...esp when 3 vials of it...they do 75iu and150iu...next time as long as you're confident can ask pharmacy to mix it up a bit...requires less reconstitution and bit faster...but other than that...not a problem...xx

Im now googling whether meriofert should be refrigerated.... some say refrigerate and others say room temp... does anyone know?

It recommends fridge if using for future treatments but ow if for this current cycle only then can keep at room temp But not above 25°c...I think for at least 3 months...i didn't fridge mine during latest treatment and used it all up within 10 days...

Thank you Hartley. I managed to spk to the clinic and they said they tell all patients to kp it at room temp. So that was a relief as i have just left it on my dining table
