BFP but full blown period 🤯

Hello, I have been testing with a CB digital with weeks indicator on 7dp5dt and it said "Pregnant 1-2". But then at 9dp5dt I was spotting on/off (which never happens as my periods normally come full force). Yesterday at 10dp5dt the bleeding got worse and I'm having what I consider, a full blown period right now. I've done another CB digital this morning and again it says "Pregnant 1-2". I'm so confused as this is definitely not implantation bleeding! It's just like a period, red and enough to soak a couple of pads.Has anyone experience something similar and gone on to have a successfull pregnancy?

I've called my clinic and am awaiting a call back, OTD is tomorrow by the way.

Hun are you taking Progesterone, if you are your clinic might want you to increase it (and it might be worth testing your levels). Keeping everything crossed for you.

Hiya, yes! I'm taking Cyclogest twice daily.Hopefully they'll call me back today as my clinic is quite understaffed during the weekends. Thank you so much and fingers crossed that it's all going to be fine indeed.🤞

To update: just got a call back from the clinic and they've just said to continue with the pessaries and retest on 14dp5dt which is on Tuesday.. I'm non the wiser but they did say that it can happen with some ladies. I'll update this thread on Tuesday then I guess..

Just a thought, and it may be totally unnecessary, but if you did want to check your Progesterone levels you can do it yourself with one of the online companies like Medichecks (they also do hcg bloods).

Yes this happened to me about 8 weeks pregnant. I had a full on period. I think it went on for about 5 days. It was like a full on period of not more of it. I was so worried but on the scan all was okay and my boy is now 21 months. Try not to panic I know it’s hard but it could just be what they call a breakthrough bleed. These tend to happen about 4/8/12 weeks, usually around the time you would expect your period. Xxx

Thanks Faith103 ! It's so extremely hard not to panic as I see everywhere that bright red blood is always bad news. I've never heard of a breakthrough bleed, I'll look it up!Hopefully I'll have just as good an outcome as yourself.🤞

hi, this happened to me as well and she’s now an energetic little toddler! We did a lot of scans and I had a large hematoma, which was pretty dangerous. Hopefully your doctor can give you a better idea soon!

Thanks Squareark , I hear that a lot so I still have a little sliver of hope that the test will still be positive tomorrow🤞It doesnt help that I'm still bleeding now; not as heavy as my regular periods but it seems to hat it'll last just the same amount of time as normal (6 days..).

So anxious about tomorrow's test, again, fingers crossed and I'll post an update as soon as I know. 🙂

Hi guys, just wanted to update you and thank you all for your support! Unfortunately, the pregnancy test came back negative so I've had a chemical pregnancy.It's at least good to know that I am able to get pregnant and that I should probably check my hormone levels the next cycle.
