I had my day 2 baseline scan this morning - had 11 follicles. At my egg collection in May I had 15 at baseline and when I was tested back in March 2021 I had 22 follicles.
We had 3 good embryos from my previous round but all 3 failed to implant. I know people say you only need 1 good one but given the problems we have with implantation I feel like we are going to need 3-4 good embryos if we want 1 to stick as we might have to try different transfer protocols.
I have been taking DHEA and human growth hormone and my clinic have said they will up my stimulation drugs from last time when I was on the lowest dose.
Has anyone had a good outcome after getting 11 follicles at baseline? Is there a chance I can get more? Should I be worried about the drop off in follicles over the last 18 months? I have just turned 38 and wish we had started sooner!

I had 11 follicles at my baseline scan and then at egg collection we retrieved 8 eggs. 5 fertilised. 1 fresh transfer done and 4 frosties put on ice. I'm now sat 8 weeks 1 day pregnant. It's all about quality not quantity. Good luck, relax and make sure you laugh as much as possible. Baby dust coming your way. Xxx
hi there, I can’t advise on this as I gave had no luck yet but interested to see what Human Growth Hormone you have been taking, what is the name of the drug and what dose? Thank you! I am also taking DHEA, 1 every day and 2nd pill every other day. What is your DHEA dose?
I’m on 2 pills of DHEA a day. 0.4 of human growth hormone for two weeks before cycle started and now rising to 1.2. It’s Genotropin Miniquick. It’s quite expensive! Research on it is mixed but my consultant recommended it and I thought I’d give it a go.
