Prontagest injection

Hi everyone, I’m in my tww and have a Prontagest intra-muscular injection every other day in the rear. My partner normally gives me the injection but is working late tonight, meaning I have to give it to myself, which I’m not looking forward to. I have done it once before, in a previous round, and found it uncomfortable due to the twisting. Does anytime have any advice? The nurses told us to do it in the rear, so I’m reluctant to change the location. Many thanks x

I had to do these a few times myself, we were told top right quarter of buttock. I found it easier to do on my right bottom as I am right handed so less far for my arm to stretch, it was a bit wobbly and I didn’t manage to draw out to check for blood etc but I did survive so it can’t matter if you wobble a bit! I did IVF solo so did all my injections - yes the progest ones can be a bit awkward but I found if I did one handed in front of a long mirror it wasn't too bad. You can try marking a dot / circle with pen before you start if you find it hard to judge where to put it when using the mirror. Good luck!
