Gutted

Hiya - its my fifth cycle and six transfer - I had a grade B and C double embryo transfer on 26 September. It was my 40th birthday yesterday and my body really tricked me into thinking we'd hit the jackpot this time and that I was going to get the best birthday present ever. I had twinges down below when implantation should have been taking place towards the end of last week, I've been really tired the last few days over the weekend, I felt a bit dizzy a couple of times yesterday, plus I've had sore boobs all week so I was starting to get really confident that this attempt had worked - but this morning I had pink spotting which is how my AF always starts, and it always arrives before OTD - which is Thursday. Feeling really down now albeit still with a bit of hope - but my sensible side is telling me to prepare for the worse. I suppose we'll see how things progress as the day goes on. 😔😔

I know what you mean about trying to prepare for the worst but wait till Thursday and test, spotting can occur and is quite common. Keeping everything crossed for you x

I don't think you need to be gutted quite yet, I have seen loads of spotting prior to test day that's resulted in a BFP, crossing everything for you xx

I’m so sorry you feel this way. similar to you, I just turned 40 a few weeks ago. I’m in the 2ww and my OTD is Thursday. For the first few days after transfer it was all going so well and I was so sure it worked - all the right symptoms - but then it all disappeared, I started getting period cramps, tested this morning and it’s a negative. I’ll still take the meds till Thursday but I’m sure we’re out.

It was our last frozen embryo - I want to try again but hubby isn’t keen. I don’t know what we’ll do. Feel so low.

I'm so sorry to hear this - it really is so difficult. I'm thinking of changing clinic if this doesn't work. I'm not brave enough to take a test - couldn't face the negative result. Sending you lots of love x

I had an ongoing bleeding from 5dpt till 12dpt last transfer. A lot more than just spotting, somewhat less than a normal period. But it stuck ❤ Keep up hope and keep us posted! Hoping the best for you ❤

that's me out - aunt flow fully here and a negative test. Heartbroken 😔 x

nope - my clinic doesn't give you progesterone - all they do is 8 clicks of ovitrelle on the day of the transfer and that's it x
