Late period = hopes up but then a negative test

hi ladies,

hope you are all doing well today.

Quick moan about something I know we’ve all experienced so many times.

My period is a few days late. I’m now on my longest ever cycle and although I know this is just because of my cycle settling down after a FET, over the last few days I’ve been getting my hopes up for a miracle.

No signs of my period coming and I couldn’t wait any longer so I’ve taken a test and as expected it’s a BFN

I’m hoping to start drugs again in a few weeks time, so on to round 3. Hurry up Mother Nature!

hi lovely, I know the feeling! It’s happened to me more than once in the past where my period was running late and I started to hope that I was pregnant! Of course I was bitterly disappointed every time but I think we all hold on to the hope. Sending you lots of love and luck for round 3! ❤️

Its so disheartening isn’t it, hopefully your period will show up soon to start the meds again , such a pain when your waiting to.begin

this happened to me this weekend , my cycles are usually around the same time , I was quite a few days late & was thinking maybe this is our miracle of a natural pregnancy, was hoping & planning inmy head thinking how wonderful it would be to not have another bloody ivf injections or meds again , but then my period turned up yesterday so back to waiting to start my 3rd fresh round, the things we go through eh 🙈

I know that feeling too .. it is weird because deep down you know like you say that it is not going to be.. but you still let yourself hope and dream and just maybe… and then even if you tried to prepare for it.. you still get a little heartbroken. You got this!

Mini update, I’ve tested positive….. for Covid! Maybe that’s why my period is so delayed.
