I am preparing for my 4th transfer (3rd FET) and looking for some nice positive stories!
I have 5 lovely blasts from 7 eggs collected but still no BFP
would be nice to hear some good news stories (especially where it may not have worked on the first few transfers) to help boost positivity levels!🤞🏻

you're still relatively young, so have hope. I was successful at 41 and my baby's now 13.5 months. I'm trying for a sibling at 43. Going to greece next month. This can work. Good luck x

I think them being positive does have a huge impact on how you go into the round. Mine started off being positive but now I feel like they are gearing me up for in case it doesn't work!? I'm a heart on sleeve person and the clinics are not exactly full of TLC so I am probably being over-sensitive!

I’m exactly in your shoes! Saving my last embie till November. Had good quality blasts but all BFN bar one chemical. I’ve heard of lots of success stories though so stay positive! All the best to you xx

I'm 41 and hoping my time is coming soon. I've had 2 transfers BFN and a natural chemical. 2 embies left in the freezer and have everything crossed for them. All we can do is try and hope! Good luck for your transfer xxx

Our journeys sound similar. We’ve had two BFN and one chemical and we’ve two good Frosties in the freezer. I hope both our time comes soon! Xx
I checked couples of people's stories (over 40s) in Youtube, mainly in USA. They succeeded IVF eventually. However, they went through multi cycles. One Chinese lady shared her story, she failed the first 5 cycles of egg collections, each cycle only able to collect 1 or 2 eggs and one of the cycles even 0 eggs. She then did PRP (in USA), after that, she able to collect 3 eggs at the cycle 6. After PGT-A test, 1 embryo came back normal and BFP. She was extremely low AMH, less follicles and 41 years old. Another story from America is, a doctor helped a patient 43 years old by using low dose medication, she came through 14 cycles of egg collections, each cycle 1 egg collection, at the end after PGT-A test, 1 embryo came back normal result successfully live birth.
All I want to say is, for older women (over 40years old) still have hope to be successful, however, we may need to go through more cycles to get there. After my 1st cycle failure, my strategy has changed, I decide to do the multi cycles egg collections first, collect as much as I have, I will do the transfer at the end, to not lose the time.

The trouble is, I definitely don’t have the emotional strength or finances to do anywhere near that many rounds.
I guess I feel gutted because my response to stims (on the surface of it) was so positive. I always thought my issue would be getting the embryo made and then I would be home and dry but sadly that is not the case.
My max is 2 more stims rounds and what will be will be. I just don’t know how I will handle it if the outcome is a series of BFN’s 😞

I understand it is not easy, this road is quite tough and need to be strong. Sometimes it is like a lucky draw. Base on my research, for me, I will give myself 6 cycles of egg collections in total of chances, if it is not success, then I will consider to use DE. According to traditional Chinese medicine angles, it suggests women take a short break after miscarriage and need to take the Chinese confinement to recover the body, therefore, I don't want to try transferring embryo unless it is PGT-A tested normal. My target is to get more than 1 PGT-A normal embryos so that I would be willing to transfer. Not easy for older women like me, but I am determined !

I collected PGTA normal embryos at age 42 and 43 and recently transferred one of these embryos.
Our IVF journey didn’t start until I was over 40 and it wasn’t the easiest but I’m so glad I stuck with it. My 1st transfer was a BFN, 2nd transfer was a BFP with twins which ended in a MMC, 3rd transfer was a BFN, 4th resulted in my daughter who is now 45. I had her with my OE at 45. 5th transfer was a BFN and we’re currently in the 2WW with our final ever frostie. It doesn’t work for everyone but is possible. Only you can decide how long to keep going with your OE before exploring other options. Wishing you lots of luck, always happy to chat if you want to PM me xx

I couldn’t quite work out the maths with a 45 year old daughter….. I assume maybe she is 4 1/2? Congrats either way! 🌈
I was so positive on my second round and so the fall after the BFN was difficult. The last transfer was a mess from start to end so hoping for a calmer and more positive experience this time!
First day of prog today though….. I forgot how much lubion stings! Fingers crossed it’s all worth it in the end!

Hi there, I got my BFP when I was 43- 4 weeks before my 44th birthday from a fresh transfer. I now have a wilful 7 month old daughter. My first cycle at 42 was unsuccessful. From 7 eggs retrieved only one made it to day 5 and was transferred. It was a BFN.
I then changed clinics and was advised to do back to back cycles of banking embryos . Whilst we banked 2 embryos from cycle 1, cycle 2 was a disaster as we had 13 eggs retrieved but no embryos made it to day 5. I decided to do a fresh transfer at the end of cycle 3 and had two embryos transferred on day 3 and one stuck!
It is definitely possible even if the odds are against us. I will be rooting for you! 🙏🏾
I was successful at 38 after 3 rounds and my 6th transfer. I now have eight month old twins. I’m in NZ so not sure what is available to you but I think the two things that helped with my success was putting two embryos back in and Colorado protocol. Also being super healthy for 3 months before transfer - eating and exercise. Implantation rates are higher with two embryos apparently! I never dreamed that both would implant mind you! She was our last embryo and that being said I only had two embryos. We discussed moving to donor eggs or even adoption. I really had lost hope before we even transferred our last one.

I am still very hopeful for the last one. I have heard lots of examples where a seemingly lower grade embryo is the one that worked..... but am also too scared to pin my hopes! With 5 great embies, I hadn't prepared myself for needing more stims. Fingers crossed I can still avoid it!

You may find you can get some feel good stories from this group on Facebook if you're using this social media platform. On a personal note, I had my little boy when I was 40 and he was our 6th transfer (3 fresh and 3 frozen) so please don't give up hope, it was worth every injection, every scan, all the poking and prodding and all the tears! I was 40 when my second FET (naturally modified) worked after my previous medicated FET did not, and gave birth to my lovely little baby girl in June this year when I was (and am) 41. One more blast in the freezer. All the best of luck xxx

Huge congratulations Legallyblonde39 ! So nice to hear that against all odds they can work! I think the issue must be my egg quality - so hard to manage the unknown! But I will carry on and hope that it will work out in the end! Feel so sad how unfair infertility feels
I'm 13 weeks pregnant with OE collected around 42 years. I had the eggs frozen until i met my partner. Now 44 years and pregnant with the one and only embryo that made it to day 5. Feels like such a miracle and i never thought it would happen for me expecially as i didn't meet Mr Right until my forties.

Yes! 2 transferred from first fresh cycle. 2 sacs at week 7 sadly lost one by 9. Now is crazy 16mo running around. Had 5 frosties, went back to have 2 put in, one took, had scan & NIPT yesterday & so far so good! 🙏
I used my own eggs at 41 and gave birth to my now 10 week old at 42. We had 3 cycles of ivf and 8 failed transfers.
I think about how many times we were at a crossroads about whether to continue. Lots of amazing women on this forum gave me hope. Over 40 is not always an easy road but success definitely possible ❤️ Good luck xx

I have had 8 failed cycles in my 30s and i am 41 now and 12 weeks pregnant. Never give up dear. By the way i used my own eggs. Good luck

I had an egg collection a week before my 41st birthday, the 3rd best embryo from that collection is now nearly 7 weeks old and having a feed 😊 He was my 6th transfer, 8th embryo transferred, I started IVF at 40. Good luck hun, it can take us 40s ones longer but we can get there in the end.
