period during 2 week wait and pGTA testing

hi, I had a fresh transfer 10 days ago and today I got my period. The clinic told me to carry on till test day but I don’t see the point- it obviously hasn’t worked right?

I have 5 other embryos from this round that are being tested , does anyone know from experience what the odds are from a PGTA tested normal embryo is? How many normals would it take for implantation to be successful . This is my third failed transfer in a row now…..

I’m sorry to hear this. I hope your ok. I honestly don’t think there is any rhyme or reason to it. I’ve had 4 transfers 3 of which were pgt tested 5aa embryos which lead to a bfn and 2 chemicals. There’s soo many factors involved it could be once or it could be ten times xxx

this was my fear… that I might end up with few or none after my testing and even if normal thej chances are not improved. I hope that you get your miracle, what’s next for you? Xx

we have started the procedure for our 5th transfer. An era has said to have an extra day of progesterone before transfer. Whether that will work or not who knows xxx I feel like I have been here so many times before got to just keep tweaking the protocol and hope for the best xxx

Hi Gerti2020 sorry to hear that but IVF is a lottery. Doesn't matter if with PGTA test or not.

I am following one mom on Instagram that had IVF cycles and 3 of them with PGTA, none worked and the two last ones for finance reasons she didn't tested and guess what ? Yes, she is 34 weeks pregnant with a health baby.

In your time it will work for you. And it can be the next transfer. Who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m not sure how many days passed transfer you are but if you are bleeding before test day I would maybe speak to your clinic about extra progesterone support in an future transfers. The embryo quality is important obviously but so are the conditions of your womb for implantation. The PGA testing can help reduce the chance of abnormal embryos and miscarriage but the environment they are placed in and timing is also important. After 3 failed attempts perhaps somethjng to explore with your clinic?

Ps I wouldn’t want to give you false hope but with my successful round I had what seemed like a period at 7dpt and I got a BFP (I had a SCH so bleed for weeks) so I would still do the test if I were you just to be sure before stopping any meds etc xx

thank you twiglet, it’s too late, you have given me some hope!!! I was surprised about the bleeding as it’s never happened before, and I have had 4 on the past (1st being a successful pregnancy) but this was my first fresh transfer and I was not on oestrogen like I was in the past, just progesterone, so I assumed that may be why. My test day is on Sunday so I might just test tomo before stopping the meds and have a big strong drink to reduce the pain of yet another failure! Xx
