hi, I had my transfer on Monday, on Saturday and Sunday I have had really bad sickness and diarahea (It was going around my household on Thursday). Today I couldn’t eat anything all day. Any positive stories after getting a bad bug and success? I always seem to get ill when I have a transfer! I have no tests in my house to test (as I didn’t want to test early) x

Hey, the same thing happened to me. My first time getting sick and had an upset stomach for 2 days. I just had my first positive bfp ever so it didn’t do me any harm!

Hi! Sorry this has happened, I know how worrying it can be. The same happened to me. I had my transfer on the Tuesday and on Sunday came down with the worst bug- vomiting and diarrhoea. I got myself checked out and they said to make sure to get fluids up. On the following Wednesday I tested at 8dp and got my bfp. I should also add, when this embryo was collected earlier in the year I caught a vomiting bug 48 hours before egg collection. So both incidents have clearly done no damage. Hope you’re feeling better xx

Hi Gerti. Oh dear, sorry to hear this. Yes, you can still go on to have a sucessful outcome in spite of the bug. Perhaps if you try some Dioralyte or rehydration salts, it might help to settle your tumy and is dafe for your embryo. Good luck! Diane
