NK cells tests Results are in and my NK cells are elevated.
Consultant has suggested Intralipid infusion and prednisolone for future treatments.
Has anybody had a Intralipid infusion? I’ve read it needs to go into the vein.
Is this administered by the clinic? If so How long does it take? (I’ve only seen hospital drip type bags on google) surly I wouldn’t be expected to do this myself 😩
Does anyone have a personal experience with this?
Did the treatment actually work and result in a viable pregnancy/birth? Or have you experienced another MC
Thnx in advance 😊

Hey after a chemical then a miscarriage I used both intralipids and predisione. I had first intralipids on transfer day then two further rounds (I will double check when but I'm sure around 6 then 12 weeks. I had my transfer abroad had to go to private clinic here. You can't do intralipids at home need a clinic it's via the a drip into arm. It's not sore. Was worth it my next pregnancy went full term and my baby is 8 months old. Not sure if it was this but just sharing my experience x
I didn’t actually have the Intralipid infusion after all.
My consultant advised it initially but the clinic doesn’t actually do it there due to a lack of research and evidence to support it. If I insisted on having it I would have had to find another clinic that does.
I’m now on 20mg prednisolone and started that 5 days before my transfer
I had the Chicago tests done which showed I had elevated NK cells too. I ended up having an intralipid intravenous infusion at the clinic, administered by a nurse 5 days before transfer and another one after a positive pregnancy test. I was also prescribed prednisolone and had a neupogen uterine flush as well. After numerous unsuccessful cycles, I threw everything I could at my last cycle and it seemed to work- I’m currently just over 10 weeks. Wishing you all the very best.
Hi, I had intralipid infusion and prednisolone too. This was done at the clinic. I know that some clinics offer to do the procedure at home. It is a drip. It usually take around 3hours. The first one might take a bit longer as they don’t know how your body is going to react. I had 3 in total. One before transfer, one at around 8 weeks ans one at around 12 weeks of pregnancy.
During the procedure, you are closely monitored. In my case nurse stayed with me all the time. I was a bit tired after the first drip. So I didn’t drive to the clinic. My husband was my chauffeur. Then I was fine with the others.
I am now 38 weeks pregnant. I am not sure if it is thanks to the drugs.
I wish you all the best with your treatment and hopefully a BFP xx
I haven’t actually reached that stage in my cycle yet... I believe it is from day of transfer until 12weeks of pregnancy once placenta takes over ( from what I have read)
