hey all

I'm currently 6w2d pregnant after finally getting our BFP following our 3rd embryo transfer.

I've been in A&E today as yesterday I was bleeding heavily for about 5 hours and passing clots 😔 It was so scary but I had no pain at all. This morning I woke up and felt dreadful with the worse head pain and dizziness,I was advised to go to A and E as the EPU are closed.

they couldn't scan me yet but I had an examination and I have cervical erosion which they said could be causing the bleed and my cervix is closed.

Has anyone else had the same and had heavy bleeding/clots without it being a miscarriage?

booked in for a scan tomorrow morning but I'm not feeling hopeful

Just to add, the bleeding stopped after 5 hours last night and I haven't bled today

I did not have an ectropion when I was pregnant but did have one well before it and it bled like nothing else! I had to leave work one day because sanitary wear could not control it. I thought at the time I might actually be having a miscarriage but was confirmed not pregnant and was subsequently diagnosed by a gyane with an ectropion. It wasn't even that big but boy did it bleed. Hope yours is the same xx

Thank you so much for your reply! I didn't know it could bleed that much. Do you mind if I ask if yours had clots too or just red blood? x

Just red blood IIRC. Not sure clots would be a distinguishing feature here though. Keeping everything crossed for you xx

I had an ectropion, my daughter is 3yo now ❤️

If that's the issue, don't stress too much! I know it's hard to say, but it's not dangerous, just take care of yourself, and keep us posted 🍀🍀🍀

I don’t know if I had the same as it was never established. I had spotting from about 5wks and a massive bleed at 10wks - I’m talking covering the bowl and sanitary towels within mins. I passed huge clots too. Went to EPU, they scanned me and sent me home without bothering to do an internal check and said they didn’t know what it could be. No more scary bleeds after that. My baby is now 10mths 😊 Best of luck with everything xx
