unfortunately after measuring behind we hade a missed miscarriage in 17 of July, had a medicated miscarriage at home on 18 of July, I had massive bleeding with clots for about 4 weeks, on 11 of august we had a scan where there was still pregnancy remains and my bloods was 114 , the gynaecologist said is normal and just wait another 3 weeks and do a pregnancy test at home . Is almost 6 weeks since and I am still bleeding quite a lot . Is this normal? How long did anyone bleed after a miscarriage? I start to panic that it may not be normal and push for another scan ?

I am so sorry for your loss. I personally don't think that sounds very normal and I am a bit concerned you were told it was. I was told if HCG wasn't below 5 after three weeks to return to the EPU like you did, after several scans they finally found some retained pregnancy tissue and my HCG was over 15,000. Like you I was still bleeding. I then had to have surgery to remove the tissue. It did take over 4 weeks to get a negative pregnancy test and I did bleed throughout, however by this stage they knew there were no more retained products so they were less worried, however they don't know with you it has all passed.
Have you done a pregnancy test and is it still positive? If so I would refer back to EPU and insist on another scan and intervention. Are you in the UK? I don't think you need to panic but I do feel like you should be seen again this week. Hugs x
I am in wales , my last visit with the gynaecologist was last week when my HCG was 114 and on the scan was still pregnancy tissue , he said is not need for surgery because I may pass in the next few weeks . Gave me antibiotics and I have to take next week another pregnancy test to see if is still positive and just after to call back for another scan . Is so frustrating to go so long without knowing what is exactly going on . I did mention to him about bleeding and he said is normal🙄
If bleeding still heavy best speak to GP sooner rather than waiting a week Take care
