TWW madness

Hi ladies,

I hope you’re all doing ok x x

just a quick question for you guys as something just popped into my head & I can’t seem to find the answer online.

I’m currently 7 days into my TWW (3rd transfer & 2nd fresh cycle). On my first fresh cycle which resulted in a BFN, I started bleeding 2 days before test day. On my second frozen cycle, again a BFN, I didn’t bleed till 4 days after test day.

This cycle is a fresh one & im terrified of having an early bleed again. My clinic have told me I’m on the maximum dose of progesterone & haven’t been testing levels as they believe it is pointless. I’ve also not been offered Lubion injection yet - my question is, does this seem right to you, according to your own experiences?

Also, how come you take oestrogen tablets on a frozen cycle but not on a frozen one? Might it help for a fresh cycle too?

sorry for difficult questions! Any advice would be greatly appreciated x x x

Clinics do things very differently when it comes to progesterone. Some like it over 25, some over 50 and some over 100. My clinic always told me early bleeding wasn’t always a sign of progesterone being too low and I found this with a couple of my failed rounds where my progesterone was ‘normal’ but I still bled before OTD (as early as 7dpt).

I have been to two clinics now and never had Lubion so I wouldn’t worry about that.

What progesterone are you on? For my fresh transfers I was just on 2x cyclogest a day. With FETs you get so much more bunged into you because your body is shut down and doesn’t ovulate etc so isn’t producing hormones naturally like it is in a fresh cycle

Good luck x

Thanks so much for your reply, Daisy1245. I wouldn’t have a clue what my progesterone levels are as they’ve not once been tested. Thank you for sharing your experience though, it kinda normalises the premature bleeding a bit for me - it wasn’t something I’d been warned about as a potential thing on the TWW.

I’m currently on 3x lutigest (progesterone pessaries) a day which is apparently the maximum dose.

So you reckon it’s normal not to be taking any oestrogen on a fresh transfer?

Thanks again lovely x x

I am on my tww aswell. I have 4 more days to go until testing 😣 It is so hard. I asked about progesterone and my clinic were similar weren't keen to test . It seems a bit unclear. Good luck with the rest of your tww!!
