looking for some advice please, I had a positive pregnancy test on my official test date and k did two other home test kits which were also positive. A week later I have tested again with clear blue digital and they are showing no pregnant. Could this be wrong? Is there any hope?
If I was you I would test again with cheaper ones, just to make sure. Clear blue isn't 💯 % trustful.
Thank you, I did a Premom strip test too and that’s not showing a positive line either. I’m waiting for the pharmacy to open to try a first response.
Can you get a blood test to double check?
When I did my official day of test and it was positive I have blood test that you do at home and send off and that came back positive also. Waiting to speak to the nurse and see what she advises. I may book another one of those. My seven week scan wasn’t until 29th August.
There is such a thing called the hook effect that if your HCG is too high it shows negative on tests - might be worth testing with diluted urine? x
When I did the Premom test last night the urine was very diluted and it was still negative. That’s why I thought I’d do it first thing in the morning. Spoke to the nurse this morning, she said it sounds like a chemical pregnancy but to do another non digital test tomorrow morning and stop meds if still negative. I’m still hoping for a miracle x

Could you ask your GP for blood tests so that you are 100% certain either way?

They won’t do a blood test, asked me to do another pregnancy test which was negative and said to stop all medicines as it’s a chemical pregnancy. Don’t really have the words to describe how I feel right now.
You don’t need to describe it. I imagine this everyday.
You could try insisting if it gives you any comfort, but it sounds like they are saying that the tests are very reliable.
I am so sorry for your loss. There’s nothing I can say to make this feel better other than focus on the facts.
This will not be based on anything you could have done differently. Try not to over analyse it.
The statistics show that a chemical pregnancy does not stop a future healthy pregnancy.
It’s still shit. Do whatever gives you comfort.
