FET (frozen transfer) second scan

I went for my second scan today.

I didn’t ask any questions , don’t know why, is it just me , but as soon as I get home I think, sh*t I didn’t ask x,y &z 🙈

Anyways all they said was I had 5 follicles in total but all small. To keep testing my ovulation sticks, morning and night . I don’t even know what the scan was for , is it to keep and eye on if I’m about to ovulate and the lining ?

Is it a good sign that I’m still producing follicles?

obviously it depends on if they get much bigger but made me think when I was going for egg collection and on high stims I only ever got 5 follicles too.

I go back Wednesday again for next scan.

Yes that’s exactly it to check your lining and see when you might be likely to ovulate. What kind of FET are you doing, natural? If so, if all the follicles are small then that means one hasn’t become dominant yet so ovulation is likely still a few days away.

Hi 😊 thanks so much for your reply, that totally makes sense thanks .,I’m doing natural FET with a possibility of using the trigger injection. My clinic close on Sundays so its to give more control if needed. xx

Hey, yes to track the lining and size of follicles for ovulation. I ended up taking my trigger shot on cd 19. Just typical after having regular cycles this one would be longer 🙈 Also, they wanted me to take the trigger shot because they don't work Sundays. Keep us posted with your progress xx

Take time to write down all the questions you want to ask them & then remember to take it with you I am sure they will answer all your concerns and this will reduce your stress levels .Hope all goes well with scan on Wednesday .
