2WW HELL

Hi Ladies, this is my first time back in the 2WW in almost 5 years. I'd forgotten how torturous it is. I'm currently 6DP5DT.

Time time I have had a natural cycle FET but clinic gave me a trigger shot after transfer, no progesterone so can't put anything down to drugs.. not that there has been that much.

I lasted until 4DP5DT until I decided to test out the trigger using cheap tests- big mistake as they are terrible. I'm however convinced that my test from yesterday morning using FMU is darker than today's.. which to be fair I did think it would but I got my previous BFPs at 5DP and 6DP so then the internal battle begins of what should I be seeing. .lesson learnt I should have waited!

Today I caved and started testing using FRER, one this morning using FMU (top test) and one this pm.. would you expect the lines to be as strong at 6DP?

My mind is officially unravelling.

I hate to say it but the trigger can last in your system for up to 10 days or even 2 weeks if double dose. If the lines are getting stronger then obviously that's amazing news.. if I were you I would try super hard not to test for a couple of days and then test again and see what the comparison is like? Thanks for the reply. I'd read 7-10 days and clinic has told me to test at 9DP at home because it's Saturday and they are closed. : (

The trigger won’t get darker so if it’s darker on day 8/9 you are in! Good luck xx

Everyone’s different but trigger sometimes stays in my system for about 12 days… which is SO annoying! Anyway good luck and either way you will know over the next couple of days. x

I think I do see a stronger line and I'm really hoping its a good sign. However like Hidden said the trigger could still be hanging around.....BUT I think I do see it darker. Wishing you tonnes of luck.xxx

If it helps when I was pregnant with twins my tests (also FRER) didn’t look that different within a 24 hour period. I also took two on 6dpt 12 hours apart and they looked the same. However I’ve never had a trigger cycle so no idea on that. Hard as it is, I would try and wait 24 hours at least before you test again and use the same brand. Good luck lovely xxx

The HCG will be in your system still. You can’t carefully test until day 8 and even then I’d be dubious. I saved myself the torture and tested on the clinic day test of 11. It was much better not to test early. Put the tests down and if you have to, test again in 2 days.

I'm also in the tortuous TWW right now and I feel you. I'm 8dp5dt and I (stupidly) caved and tested yesterday and again today. I got a faint line yesterday so today was hoping to see a stronger one but it looks almost identical so now I'm freaking out about that. My husband has told me off for testing early but it is so hard! I'm going to try to hold off testing again until Saturday which will be 11dpt and OTD but it is killing me. I've also come down with covid this week just to add to the horror. 😱

It's awful! Covid this week.. no!!! Try and see a positive that perhaps because your immune system is lowered because it is a BFP?

I think if you test again tomorrow you'd hopefully see a stronger line from yesterday to adhere to the 48 hours rule.

I tested again this morning and although I first thought they were fainter they looked the same.

My clinic has advised this morning that I had 1/4 hcg shot or 8 clicks so tomorrow I should get an accurate result and Saturday would have been my OTD.

Trying to stay positive and not let negativity creep in but it's so hard.

Sounds like we should both be holding off for a Saturday test! Fingers and toes crossed that it is a BFP for both of us!

And honestly, getting covid this week is just the worst. Boiling hot weather, a terrible cough plus TWW anxiety = practically no sleep. Getting any work done has been something of a challenge. Roll on Saturday (hopefully) xx

It sounds good to me, getting darker has got to be good right? I’m here to find out how you get on this weekend. I’m 10dp2dt and I’m pant watching every time I go to the loo, I’m nervous, excited, scared of it not working and everything in between. My test day is Tuesday which weeks like an age always with a million anxious toilet visits in between - my wife and I think we might cave and test tomorrow morning or Monday… I just can’t face seeing a negative though.
