Is the development/process any different if you have a day 2 transfer not a day 5?

so I know people have positive successful outcomes from a day two transfer but as I wonder what’s going on in my body everything you search is about a day 5 transfer.

My question is, does the embryo (s) develop at the same pace inside you as it would in a dish?

So a day 2 post day 5 transfer is the same as my day 5 post day 2 transfer?

Yes just about! You would expect to be at about the same stage so you are approaching the point where implantation should happen if you are day 5 after a 2 day transfer. Heaps of luck x

Thanks Daisy, It’s all a mind field and I really don’t need to be checking but hey, what else is there to do?

Previously done IUI which is a lot more straight forward so the IVF journey is a new one for me.

Hi liftinglady. A 5 day transfer implants within hours. A 2 Day transfer takes 3-5 days to implant, so has more catching up to do. We only used to do Day2 and Day3 transfers years ago as we didn't have the expertise to grow embryos on to Day 5. We still got over 30% success rate, but often transferred 2, sometimes 3 embryos. Thanks you Diane, fingers crossed it has caught up and is plating itself nicely in there by now. I guess only time will tell. x
