Any fellow recurrent miscarriage friends out there… and any with success stories?

Hi all, you’ve probs seen me post a few times this week with qus after our fresh cycle was happily interrupted by a natural pregnancy. We were scared but so happy and thought maybe this was our moment… but yet again i bled just before 5 weeks and it’s all over.

That means I’ve now had 2 miscarriages before by tube was removed, a failed IVF round, a successful IVF that turned into a chemical and now another miscarriage. I’m so sad, and tired. And this is the first time I’ve thought “I’m not sure i can do this forever”. The IVF is ok/manageable but the rollercoaster of a failed BFP… i don’t know.

Anyone else out there in a similar place, or who finally got their miracle? I can’t help feeling like I’m just not meant to be a mum ☹️☹️☹️

(Sorry for the sad post)

I can feel the pain you are talking about as I have been through it. I had 1 natural pregnancy which ended in a miscarriage. 3 failed iui attempts. First ivf, had a bfp which ended in a blighted ovum( only gestational sac) at 5 weeks, failed to bleed had medical intervention for missed miscarriage. Second ivf ( frozen embryo) bfn. Third fresh embryo, pregnant with a fetus with low heartbeat at 6 weeks, ended in a miscarriage by 8 weeks.

Now with the 3 rd round of ivf, pregnant at 10+1 week, still scared and googling everything, have had 3 scans and all is looking good, just ne being paranoid. So hang in there and there is a rainbow baby waiting for you. All crossed for your next success. 🤞🏼🤗

Thanks for sharing and I hope your pregnancy is going well. I had to take a step back from everything for a while but it’s so great to see so many success stories xx

I've had 2 miscarriages at around 7 weeks and 5 chemicals, all natural. One failed round of ivf and now presently nearly 34 weeks pregnant with second round of ivf. X

Thanks so much for sharing - did they test you for the recurrent miscarriage/chemical? Or did it just happen successfully in the end?

Yeah they tested me but couldn't find anything other than my age as a problem. I was 39 at the time

Really Sorry to hear about your losses. I’ve had 4 miscarriages including a termination at 12 weeks so I know it can be hard… the only thing that helped me was to keep going and think positive. I did get there in the end through IVF, I was so paranoid throughout the pregnancy that I didn’t enjoy it. I gave birth last year and I really couldn’t believe it (still can’t).Don’t think you’re not meant to be a mum, you’re going through all this to be a mum 😊 it’s not easy but my advice is take some time for yourself and get back on the horse when you’re ready. All the best and good luck!!!

I’ve had 3 miscarriages (one natural pregnancy and 2 embryo transfers) you can read my bio. Then, the same month of my last miscarriage I got pregnant naturally and I’m 14 weeks now. I’m not on the other side yet but I still see this as a miracle! It can happen for you and I wish it does soon 🌈

So sorry to hear this. Have you had a thrombotic risk profile test and Natural Killer Cells test? I had a MMC and have had recurrent implantation failure since then. My tests results for those tests were positive for things that can cause recurrent miscarriage and/or implantation failure I.e MTFHR gene mutation and high levels of inflammation and natural killer cells. I just wish I had had these tests sooner. My next (and 5th) stimulation cycle they are treating me for both these things including Clexane and steroids and progesterone from embryo transfer (if we get that far) and intralipid infusions during stimulation and after as required plus aspirin if I get a positive pregnancy test. Really hope you can speak to your consultant and request any tests you haven't already had so that you have some answers and hopefully you are in a better position going forward. Xx

Thank you for this - i was tested for blood clotting and got a slight positive just before the last pregnancy so they had me on heparin and aspirin. The second test, post-miscarriage, was negative. I haven’t had the other tests and my clinic doesn’t offer them but I’ll definitely see what they say!

I am so sorry for your losses xx I hope my story can give you some hope! My miracle IVF baby boy was born this April after five miscarriages: four in the first trimester and 1 late loss at 17+5 weeks (my baby boy was born sleeping but he was chromosomally normal). On my successful transfer/ pregnancy, I was on heparin, steroids, hydroxychloroquine, aspirin and extra progesterone. Do not lose hope! Please feel free to PM me if you want to chat Xxx

Thank you so much and sorry for all your losses. I’ll follow up about this and if i have any qus will for sure let you know - thanks. Had to take a little break for a while but getting back on it now x

I had 3 mmc at 12w, 2 chemicals at 5w all natural conception we weren’t offered any treatment at the time just told to keep trying with low amh we would have to use donor egg I was 39 when they did mc tests and fertility tests. They didn’t find anything else just said age related probably. I felt it was the end of the road for us my eggs were poor quality, I kind of gave up started to move on. Then I was pregnant again at 40 we were petrified we’d lose again but luckily all went well and he’s 1 now.
