Egg donation follicle length too large

Hi to be considered for treatment with a clinic in Cyprus, I had to have a vaginal scan on day 2/3 of my cycle. I sent the clinic the results and they said because one of my follicles was over 10mm, I needed to go on the birth control pill. I am due another scan at day 2/3 on my next cycle once I finish the 21 birth control pills. Anyone any experience of this?

We never had this scan at this point in the cycle in the UK and I am just praying the follicles are under 10mm otherwise we won't be able to go ahead with treatment. Although I am not sure if this level of detail might help it be more successful 🤷.

Hi Yellow611, I'm expecting to have my baseline scan this week for treatment in the UK as I'm due on tomorrow. I was told that if my follicles were too big, going on the contraceptive pill would be one of the options they would consider before starting a cycle. So although I haven't had real personal experience, it is something I am aware they would consider. I hope this helps.

Hi Yellow. I think having the "pill" will quieten your ovaries down so they can go ahead with the cycle. Good luck¬ Diane
