Hi everyone ! Wanted some progesterone advice ! I have had three failed attempts of IVF with own eggs in the last 1 1/2 year. I then proceeded to try donor eggs and had two cycles of excellent donor eggs in Cyprus and both were fresh transfers but unfortunately both failed. After my laparoscopy and a hydrosalpinx removed - I the. Had a fresh donor transfer the first time had a BHCG positive but low at 8 so classified as negative . In this cycle i realised that it was probably the lowprogestogen which caused it. (8ng/ml on transfer day) So this time although the clinic told me to take uterogestan capsules 200 mg 2 pessary and oral plus vaginal three times a day along with Progynova 2 mg two tablets three times a day I also added in prolutex injection 25 mg s/c myself. I am glad I did that because my progesterone levels on the day of my current transfer were more than 60 ng/ml. The dr advised me to change the injections to alternate day instead as it’s high enough . I checked progesterone level on day four which is today of the frozen IVF cycle and it actually fell down to 25 ng . Clearly alternating the progesterone injections was not a good idea because my progestogen level fell and now they have requested me to increase it back to once a day injections . My question is that normally does the progesterone level fall so quickly and if so is 25 ng/ ml a very low value? -(Considering today it is day 4 post 5 day transfer of frozen blastocyst) .
Has anyone had higher doses of progesterone ? Thanks a lot for your help.
