Any help out there??

I had a 3 day transfer on Thursday with 3 embryos put in can anyone give me and success stories or advice I’m 40 out of 13 eggs only managed to get 3 to day 3!!

When would these look at implanting? Surely 1 would work out of 3!! It’s just so frustrating could I feel anything? See any signs??

Thanks everyone

Hello hun, I wanted to wish you so much good luck, I've got my fingers and toes crossed for you. I'm currently pregnant with an embryo made when I was 40, it did take a while for me (this was the 8th embryo I transferred), but I got there in the end. It can definitely happen for those of us in your 40s.

I hope so I’m running out of hope now when you get so many negatives all of the time I’m hoping at least 1 of these 3 will stick I’m not asking for much lol xx

Far too early yet for symptoms and no symptoms is also very common or symptoms caused by meds can come and go… Here’s what’s happening each day - day 1 for you would actually be Sunday as this is based on a 5 day transfer on day 0 🤗

Day 1: The blastocyst begins to hatch out of its shell.

Day 2: The blastocyst continues to hatch out of its shell and begins to attach itself to the uterus.

Day 3: The blastocyst attaches deeper into the uterine lining, beginning implantation.

Day 4: Implantation continues.

Day 5: Implantation is complete. Cells that eventually become the placenta and fetus have begun to develop.

Day 6: Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), the hormone that signals a developing pregnancy, starts to enter the blood stream.

Days 7 and 8: Fetal development continues and hCG continues to be secreted.

Day 9: Levels of hCG are now high enough in maternal blood to detect a pregnancy using a blood test.

Hi there,

For my successful round when I was 43, I had 15 eggs collected, 10 were mature and only 5 fertilised. 4 progressed well to day 3, 2 were put back in and the rest were allowed to progress to day 5. So do not lose hope yet.

I know it is hard but try not to test before your OTD as it will only cause more stress either way as you will be second guessing the result. Mine was 14 days.

At the very least using the guide by Twiglet and add 2 or 3 days as yours was a day 3 transfer and some embryos form blastocysts on day 6. Waiting means you can be sure either way whether it was successful or not.

As for symptoms, any symptoms you feel are usually a result of meds. My symptoms disappeared in the second week and I was convinced it had not worked but it had worked so imagine my surprise.

Hoping the outcome is positive for you…

Hello dear, In my case they only retrieved 7 eggs in which 3 got fertilized, and they did transfer all the embroys, from which one got stuck now i am 13 weeks pregnant.

Might be you have a greater chances so best of luck, age is just a number if it means to happen it will, so don't take much stress.

Keeping everything crossed for you. I’m 39 and had a double day 3 transfer in Oct and am currently 34 weeks pregnant with the one that stuck. I’ve had 4 rounds of ICSI but only ever had this and one other transfer as 2 out of 4 rounds produced no usable eggs. I also had no symptoms for weeks and waited to test on the day given by the hospital. Good luck! X

I totally feel you!!!I'll tell you my story in hope it'll give you hope.

My first 2 cycles got canceled right before egg collection.

Then first successful cycle I got 13 eggs and only 3 made it to day 3 and I put them all back in... BFN

😭Second fresh cycle I got 13 eggs and only 4 reached day 3 so I put 2 and froze 2 and it worked!! My daughter is now 2.5 years old.

Third time I did a frozen transfer of the 2 embryos left from my pervious cycle and bfn

Forth time I did a new fresh cycle,12 eggs and only 4 reached day 3 (put back 2 fresh and bfn)

Fifth transfer I put back the 2 frozen embryos left and bfn

6th time I did a new fresh cycle, 12 eggs and only 3 made it to day 3 so I put them all back and currently 36 weeks pregnant with one baby

Point is you never know which embryo will stick and this journey is tough.

I wish you all the best and for at least 2 embryos to stick!!!!
