Would be great to hear your advice/stories! I’ve had one early pregnancy loss from an ICSI cycle and two failed transfers (1 x Fresh and 1x frozen). Our consultant has suggested that I do a RIF test. I didn’t realise how expensive it was. Have you taken the test and did it help with you next cycle/s at all?
Thank you x

Hi, I have the same issue but never heard of a RIF test - what does it involve?
I’ve had ERA, EMMA, Alice, a Hysteroscopy, NKC (cytoklines) immune testing (bloods and endometrial lining) LAD testing, vit D, thyroid, prolactin, MTHFR tests… (I think that’s it!) to try and work out why I have RIF.. yes i don’t have any words to explain how expensive..
RIF is Recurrent Implantation Failure blood/profile test. I think it covers some of the tests you’ve already had such as MTHFR. Apparently it also tests for FBC Coagulation Profile, Antithrombin III,
Factor V Leiden Common Mutation, Factor II Prothrombin Common Mutation , Fibrinogen, Lupus Anticoagulant, Protein C Free Protein S Ag …
Not sure what half of even them mean. I’ll have to look them up…
Hi, I had to google what you meant by RIF (recurrent implantation failure). Constantly learning new acronyms! But yes I’ve done all the same tests as Gabriella89 above. And yes they are eye wateringly pricey, not to mention it’s a lot of tubes of blood taken 🤢. For us it did provide some answers and we have done treatment for NK cells, MTHFR and LIT for low LAD results. Again the treatments are eye wateringly costly (and some are painful) so it’s a massive investment. If you’ve got enough resource left both emotional and financial you could see if it gives you some answers. Best of luck with whatever you decide. Xx
Thank you so much for your reply.Yes, sorry I should have explained what it is in my original post.
It’s good to hear that it gave you some answers. It feels like I should do it to check if anything needs to be addressed before we think about doing another transfer although the extra expense isn’t what we need right now x
