NK CELL results

Hi darlings,

So I’ve had my NK test results, I wanted to do this before we started again knowing that I’ve done what I can. My first biopsy came back a few weeks ago was in the normal range, but on the higher side so thankfully I arranged a follow up for next week. Just now I’ve had the second results come through and they’re actually in the high range. I wasn’t expecting this and it’s really thrown me. Has this happened to anyone else? Xx

Mine was on the high side with my first test, and I was actually pleased! It gave a reason why we had endured IVF failure after failure. The Professor at Coventry said (and I quote) 'IVF fails because of cr*p eggs or cr*p lining'. My now diagnosed 'cr*p' lining meant that it was a simple fix (steroids or blood thinners) to increase the chance of our IVF working the next time.

I would look at it as a positive - better than the maddening vague 'unexplained infertility'!

Absolutely! So when did you start the steroids? We’re meant to start in about 2 weeks so I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed x

I had my first dose the morning of embryo transfer, then for 12 weeks if successful.

I had my NK Cells tested after 5 fails and our 6th transfer with steroids was successful.My range was extremely high too xx

Hi, I had the NK cells test through my clinic when having IVF. My friend wants to get the test now but her clinic in our country doesn't believe in it. Is there a way she can arrange it privately in the UK?

But also - yes - look on this as a positive as its something that you can make 'better' so hopefully will contribute to a positive result for you
