Pineapple - when to eat it

Hi everyone

I have my 5th transfer booked on Monday for my last frostie - day 6. Hoping it will work but to be honest, I’ve sort of lost faith.. nevertheless I’m still trying to do what I can to make it work. Trying embryo glue again too.

My first ever positive which ended in chemical, I ate pineapple.. I think I ate too much of it which maybe caused the chemical? Don’t know. But since then I’ve not had it at all. So I was thinking, shall I try it again and only have it for one or two days? If so.. when should I eat it and for how long?

Thanks x

Hi! I have started to eat 2 slices a day on the day of my FET. I am 7dpt and it’s BFN this morning ☹️. Hope yours will be the lucky one 💙

Sorry to hear of your BFN.. but isn’t it a bit too early to test? Thank you, I hope it sticks too. This journey is really getting to me now x

Yeah, my OTD is on Wednesday next week but I wanted to check early. This was my first FET

Test again OTD just in case. I’ve read so many peoples comments saying they get a negative first and the positive later.

I’ve lost my hope. But I will do the test next week just to confirm.

I ate a lot of pineapple - before and for several days after my transfer. It's important to buy a whole pineapple and slice it so you are eating all the centre too - it's the firm centre that has the bromelain in it 🍍

Yes it worked on my first transfer. I can't quite remember how many days into it I did it was it was in 2018 but I do remember eating a lot of pineapple! Wishing you baby dust!

The truth is that this is nothing but a superstition with no scientific backing, but feel free to do it if you want. Pineapple is tasty. The only downside is if you're not used to eating it and eating the core specifically might upset your stomach, which is something you do not want after transfer. Some doctors actually tell their patient not to do it. Best of luck xo

Thanks, you’re right. I’ve decided not to have it just in case. My fertility acupuncturist said that they used to tell ladies to have it to help bring on labour. Maybe that’s why I had a chemical previously. Anyway, I’m also on Clexane injections to help with blood flow, so hopefully that with the glue will help.. though it didn’t last cycle 🙄 let’s see what happens.
