Pineapple core query

I’ve had our third FET today and have gone to eat the pineapple core which has been recommended. My understanding was that its to eat the very centre which is the part that is usually removed and forms the hole on a pineapple ring. Is this correct or is it just the actual pineapple ring? It’s not pleasant at all, not too sure how people eat the centre. Am I being dumb here? 😂 Also do I eat all of it and just buy whole pineapples every day or just eat a small amount of it over a few days? I’ve googled but getting varying results.

From what I remember it’s cut it into 6 and have a piece each day. It’s a myth but anything’s worth trying right lol! I might try the McDonald’s fries after transfer 🤔😂 honestly can’t hurt and I like a good maccies. Good luck chewing through that centre piece! Good luck lovely 🤞🏼💕

Haha thanks for your reply. I’ve always been a bit cynical about the pineapple and Maccies but I’ve not had much luck so far so thought I’d give them both a go this time round! If nothing else I thoroughly enjoyed my fries (and McChicken sandwich 😂) but the pineapple core is an acquired taste I think! Oh good, I’ve probably chomped through a sixth of it before I gave up so I’ll look forward to finishing it off over the next few days 🤣🤣 Thanks again and best of luck with your next transfer x

Oh I am laughing good now! You had the fries too 😂. Oh I needed that chuckle thanks. Pineapple going in my shopping trolley if I don’t do it now I might regret it 🥴. What about the legs up theory?xx

What’s the legs up theory? I kind of get what it is but is it as soon as you get home from a FET? Haha pleased my last post brought a smile 😁 xx

Yes basically and I’ve heard of women with legs up in the car on the way home. Seriously considering these myths lol. Hope your feeling ok after transfer 💕

My IVF clinic is really near a McDonalds so I can never resist going even though I’m sure it’s a myth. I’m allergic to pineapple though so will have to give that one a miss.

I was always a non-believer in the pineapple core theory but we will be having our third transfer next week and I’ll be giving it a go! I saw a thing online where a woman blended it and then drank it which seem to be much more easy to take x

Just a small amount of the core everyday is what I did. Good luck for the next 2 weeks, look after yourself xx

It is the centre. It's tough and it's not very edible. I've had 4 transfers, the only time I didn't eat it was when the embryo implantated. I won't be eating it for my next round, think it's a complete myth unfortunately, just like the McDonald's fries!Wishing you lots of luck x

Hi. I done pineapple core with both transfers. Co accident or not but both transfers was successfully done .

I split in 5 pieces . On the day of transfer , on empty stomach I blended one piece with bit of warm water . Didn't add anything also.

And repeat same things every morning on empty stomach . Total 5 days

Good luck 🤞😸

In doubt I ate all of it, core and ring! I had the lucky socks and also went for fries straight after the transfer. I had my BFP! Good luck! x

It could all be coincidental but I had a BFN first time round, second time we got BFP and had our son. I did the pineapple, Brazil nuts, pomegranate juice and McDonald’s. I then had another 2 BFN first one I didn’t do any of the above and second 1 I did a few bits of the above. I’m currently in my 2WW with number 5 and I did everything again and yesterday I tested early and there is a faint second line.

So I’m all for all of the myths and all that. It has worked for us (hopefully) so fingers crossed it works for you too. Xxxx

Oh wow congratulations 😁. When is your official test day? Thank you, this time I’ve done the pomegranate juice, pineapple and McDonald’s fries but not the Brazil nuts which is annoying now to think about as I’ve had them to hand and had them in my first round (which led to a BFP but was a chemical) I’ll see how it goes. I did have some signs of implantation yesterday but nothing is ever certain so we shall see xxx

Fingers crossed for you, I’m sure the Brazil nuts won’t make a difference.

OTD is Tuesday but my line is fading so I’m not holding out unfortunately. Xx
