I am hoping someone can give me advice on what tests my doctor should run to find out why both my FET ended in chemical pregnancies. I only have one frozen embryo left so it’s a lot of pressure to figure this out. I do Accupuncture, meditation yoga and eat a balanced diet. I appreciate any advice as I have an appointment this week with my doctor to figure out the next steps. Thank you 😊
2nd failed FET with donor eggs. - Fertility Network UK
2nd failed FET with donor eggs.
I got pregnant on my 3rd DE FET. First ended in MMC, 2nd in BFN.
What I did differently:
1) Did a course of Canesflor for 5 weeks prior to month of FET
2) 10 day course of antibiotics (Doxycycline) from day 1 of period (my consultant was happy to treat empirically rather than do an EMMA test)
3) Took oral (Optibac) and vaginal probiotics (Canesflor and Canesbalance) during course of antibiotics
4) Took 10mg prednisolone a day starting 5 days prior to transfer and continued throughout 2ww and after BFP (due to stop gradually after 12 weeks 🤞)
5) Had progesterone checked on day of transfer (it was above 50)
6) Started Aspirin 150mg (dissolvable but taken as a tablet) on day of transfer
7) Saw a fertility nutritionist the month prior to FET and went gluten free and high antioxidant diet (DM me for her details if you’d like, she’s highly thought of in the field of fertility and works with most of the top clinics and male fertility specialists - she’d probably recommend doing a bioflora screen to see if your vaginal microbiome is abnormal)
8) Acupuncture in run up to FET and pre & post transfer
9) Took time off from a busy stressful job in 2ww
This is also a really good link for failed implantation for DE treatment. She has a nice methodical approach

Thank you so much for taking the time to give me so much detailed information. I will definitely look up the link. Please send me the information for the nutritionist. You are amazing ! Congratulations on your rainbow baby ! Fingers crossed for mine soon.
Chemicals are usually caused by chromosomal issues. Did you have the embryos tested? Sometimes even young donor has quality issues, also it could be a male factor.
Thank you for responding. I did ask my doctor about testing the embryos but she said as it my last one she would not advise risking the thaw for the testing then freezing and rethawing again. ☹️
Hi I would get a homo ir test this is a fasting test for insulin resistance. When this is high it can affect your hormone profile and affect implantation in the early stages. during my treatment I was thinking why the hell is this dr so adamant about my sugar levels when I don’t even have diabetes. it’s only when I researched and realized just how important diet and sugar control is.
