First IVF Cycle

Hi everyone!

We just started our cycle today and on day 1 of Meriofert injections. One box contains 150 and the other 75. Has anyone used this? How did you get on and what are your side effects. I injected into my thigh.

Hi Abbie,

I’ve just done my first round and had egg collection and blastocysts frozen.

I used meriofert 75 and it was all 75 so might be best to check with your clinic. Mine was in conjunction with Fyremadel and I found it all totally fine. No side affects at all! If anything I think I benefited from being stable throughout my cycle where normally you have the ups and downs!

My other half did my injections in to my tummy, and as a needle phobic I was petrified but the first one was fine and I quickly got used to it.

It was also a nice bonding experience for us as he felt like I was the one having to do everything...

Good luck! It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Xx

I was on meriofert 225 on my first cycle (75+150 ) and 300 on my second cycle (150+150)

Did the injections in my tummy around the belly button, on the first one had no side effects but the second one I had migraines, really sore nipples and lots of ups and downs. With the injections, I did myself and was alright.Best of luck xxxx

Hey I see you post if a while ago. I am in my fist cycle of IVF and already on 300 Meriofert (day 3 today). So far no side effects. can you let me know what to expect? I realize I am on a very high dosage.

Hope you are on a good journey xx

Hi Abbie,

I am on Meriofert 150 but I know they wanted me on a lower dose due to a few things. I guess different clinics do different things as I was told to inject in the tummy below the navel. No side effects as of yet!

I started my first ivf cycle yesterday as well. I wish you all the best. Good luck! x

Hey! I hope all is going well for you. I’m on day 3 of injections. Only thing that’s really effecting me is that I have had a constant headache which lasts all day. I struggled to concentrate at work yesterday. Other than that nothing else! How are you getting on xx

I am doing ok thanks. I am more tired and aching but I wondered if that could be the heat as well as have not slept well recently.

I am on day 3 of injections as well. The actual injections have not been as bad as I thought they would. I had some leave I needed to take by the end of the month but am back Monday after my next scan so will be interesting to see how I cope. I hope your headaches ease soon and that you have no other side effects xx

I was on 225 (150+75) and I didn’t have any side affects. Only felt a little uncomfortable just before egg collection due to my ovaries being enlarged.

I got 7 eggs collected, 3 fertilised. Only 1 made it to day 3 so had it transferred. I’m currently 23 weeks pregnant with my baby boy!!

Good luck to you🍀!! I really hope you have the same success as I had🤞🤞!! Xx
