Hi everyone. Just a little update from me. I've just gone through stims and retrieval for my second round of treatment.
On my first round, I did long protocol, ivf. Got 13 eggs, 12 mature, and 2 fertilitised. Day 3 transfer, bfn.
March 2022 - 2nd round we did icsi and short protocol.
This time, I got 10 eggs, 9 mature, 7 fertilised and ive just had a call from the embryologist who's said 3 have made it to blast 🙌🏼. Unfortunately I developed a little ohss and had high estrogen levels which messed up my lining so I've had to freeze my little embryos. It's disappointing of course as I was fully geared up for transfer but it's the right decision and I'm happy to wait to get my body back to health.
I'm absolutely delighted to have 3 chances after my first round, which I took really hard. It just shows how a lot can change in each round and different protocols have different results.
A long way to go obviously and if anyone has any tips on how to get my lining healthy again, I'd be grateful to hear it. It was 11mm on transfer day, but parts of it looked 'gelatinous' according to my consultant........
Thanks everyone for keeping me sane and all the advice. I'm taking the win when I can!
