Okay, so I'm not feeling very well, and my frozen embryo transfer is booked in for tomorrow. Will me being ill effect implantation? Should I postpone transfer?

Unwell with sore throat and runny nose - transfer tomorrow?
Feeling the same right now with runny nose and sore throat! Hmmm I don’t think it would affect it but perhaps it would be better to ask the clinic, it’s not good to start the 2ww while in doubt! Good luck! Xxx
Thanks. I am nervous about asking them in case they recommend to cancel it! Which is ridiculous, because if that's what they recommend that's what I should do?
Hey how did it go? xxx
Thanks Francesca. I didn't want to spam the board with the progress of my journey being me me me when people are going through tougher situations. Embryo thawed perfectly, had transfer, and now it's just the waiting game. The clinic staff were all really lovely and it was a positive experience.
Hi, I felt horrendous when we went for my 3rd transfer and we wondered about cancelling it. Then I was worried I looked so ill that they’d cancel it! My clinic said unless you have a high temperature there’s no need as it will have no impact on implantation, however rough you feel. Personally I’d go ahead with it. We have a 19 month old from that transfer x
Hi lovely, so pleased you're getting ready for transfer!
I wouldn't worry about being under the weather. Like Solly-44 says unless you have a temperature, you should be fine.
Just drink lots of fluids and rest up.
Best of luck xx
Thanks Millbanks. No temperature. Just don't know if being unwell helps or hinders embryo implantation. Don't want my body attacking the embryo whilst it's attacking things to make me well. Orrrr maybe a weakened immune system makes implantation easier? I'm overthinking it. It's complete luck and we'll see what happens! Taking lots of rest.
They will refuse to do the transfer if you have COVID but I believe that is because they obviously don't want to catch it. If it is just a cold though I can't see why they would have a problem with it. Also a high temperature can cause miscarriage at the time you have the temperature as I understand it but not sure it would affect embryo transfer. All the best with it. I hope it all goes well Xx
Hi, I had my transfer then within 36 hours I had covid! Now 8 and a bit weeks and going well. All the best!
I would suggest you test for covid. Those doctors also look after loads of other patients some of whom are immunocompromised and wouldn’t do well getting covid. Think of the other people.
