Can fertility treatment actually make you infertile?

Hi friends

So to conceive my little son I did 6 rounds clomid, 8 rounds Femara, 3 iuis

And in the month that I took a break from treatment I miraculously fell pregnant naturally

I’m trying to conceive again and I have done two failed IVF cycles

Is it possible that treatment is making me not conceive?

I don’t have any real issues, I am a recovered anorexic after 7 years of being ammenorheac but 2 years of fertility treatment hasn’t worked for me

I don’t see how fertility treatments would make you infertile, but equally it’s not the perfect fix, it’s not unusual to have several failed rounds and sometimes it doesn’t work at all for some people. Good luck x

I feel like all that clomid and injectables weakened my lining and my ovarian function. I feel like if I had done no treatment at all and tried naturally for a few more months my body would be in a better state

Try not to have regrets. I am sure given that IVF has been around for years if there were such dramatic side effects they would be more widely communicated. You have made the decisions you have so regretting things now won't help any.

I know you have been blessed with three children already, as I said before IVF isn't the perfect fix. There are many people on here that have been doing it for over 5 years still with no children to show for it. It doesn't mean there has been a negative impact on their bodies.. and you don't know your next round won't work. Good luck x
