Hope everyone’s having a good weekend. I’m currently waiting for my next hospital app on Wednesday to talk about the next steps. We have had our egg retrieval and currently have frozen embryos. I was wondering if anyone went on holiday whilst waiting for FET day? I’m not too sure when mines going to be as I’ll know more Wednesday, I spoke with a few different nurses and they all said different between 1-3 cycles. So I’m thinking for my other half’s birthday to book a holiday. We haven’t been away since nov 19 before COVID & thinking it will be good to relax my body before the transfer. But… I’m new to it all and wondering if anyone has done this if it’s a good idea? Xx

Absolutely. Ivf is stressful enough without it taking over your life. Have a wee holiday and enjoy yourself. Hopefully it’s the last holiday as a family of 2 xxx
Do it! As someone who has put their life on hold for IVF I wish I had booked more and done more in those moments between / before transfers. I am sure a break will do you the world of good and allow you to go into your FET chilled and mentally ready! Enjoy xx
Go on holiday. My husband is Australian so we took the opportunity to go there over Christmas and we’re currently in the Lake District, just bought all our buserelin with us while we’re preparing for FET. It’ll keep your mind busy and makes you feel like you’re moving forward!
Definitely book the holiday ✈️ don’t put your life on hold for this process, that’s the one thing I would have told my younger self! for a FET you phone up with your period when you want to start so if its going to clash with your holiday you can just phone up the next month 🤗 xx
I went on holiday the month after a failed frozen fet and in the month before my next transfer (successful) - I changed a lot of things in that month but I’m glad we went away- and had a week of dedicated sun and relaxation in Majorca. So I’d say go for it
Sure. I did a naturally modified cycle rather than medicated. I went for massage and acupuncture (I tried their herbal medicine but I had an allergy to it) gave up caffeine attempted a bit of weight loss by going carb low. Switched to a multi vitamin that had naturally occurring folate in (the more I read the more important this is) and my GP suggested cutting out any food in plastics I tried but as soon as we started the process we started a house renovation so there’s no way I can avoid pre cooked food in plastic - would if I could I promise!
Thank you everyone! Love all ur reply’s! Yes it’s hard Iv put everything on hold!! So think I’m surprising other half for his birthday little trip will do us the world of good! It’s 100% needed!! Thank you for the response I’m going to chat with dr Wednesday and get something booked Wednesday evening! Ah exciting xxx
