I was supposed to take 2x 2mg progynova from day 15 of my previous cycle in preparation for my next cycle.
I started them on Saturday (Day 15) and just realised today Day 21 that I’ve only been taking 1 instead of 2 tablets per day.
My clinic has advised to complete the course on 2 per day until my period arrives and said it shouldn’t affect my cycle.
Has anyone else made the same mistake and still had a positive outcome to your cycle? I’m so annoyed with myself for getting it wrong and just hope it doesn’t affect our cycle ☹️

Hello, I did something a little similar. I was on 2 patches a day and I was suppose to take 3x2mg of prognova a day. I didn’t realise this until a week in of taking them. I had done the patches correctly but I had only been taking one tablet a day! I felt exactly like you do now! I started the correct dose as soon as I realised and my linning was thick enough for transfer despite missing a substantial amount of tablets!! So try not to worry sure it won’t affect your cycle! Xx
Hi Beacon_of_hope. You are better off taking less of the medication than too much, so carry on as your clinic have advised. No harm will have been done. Good luck! Diane
Hey, it is so easy to make a mistake like that when you're going through the stress of IVF.I had my treatment in Spain, got all the way there to find I'd been taking 1 progynova a day instead of 3. I was devastated.
But the doctor just increased the dose for a week and my lining thickened up beautifully. The cycle worked! Unfortunately I miscarried at 9 weeks but I'm sure it wasn't because if the progynova.
Please please be kind to yourself, mistakes happen, and you are doing great.
Ah thank you so much for your kind words. I’m so sorry to hear you miscarried that must have been heartbreaking after getting your positive. Thank you for the reassurance hopefully it won’t impact the cycle 🤞xx
