Did you rest lots or behave pretty normally? Like in terms of exercise and housework??

Hi SimsB

The lovely team at my transfer said no strenuous exercise. So gentle swimming and walking all good and just avoid anything that puts pressure on the belly or back so avoid doing a full house deep clean!

I'm using it as an excuse though to avoid loading the dishwasher and doing the washing and getting my OH to do all the hard work around the house 😊

Good luck!

Hi SumsB. Keep busy and go for walks if weather is OK. Drink plenty of water and eat a sensible diet. Good luck! Diane

I am in 2ww currently πŸ™‚ I went back to work day after (working from home). Avoid lifting really heavy things (though had to pick up my toddler a couple times). Try for early nights/enough sleep, warm feet, nourishing foods (bone broth, leafy greens, warming foods). Lots of water. Light walking and trying not to sit down too long - keep that blood flowing. I need to clean the house today but will avoid anything super intense and chemicals etc. I've pretty much carried on as normal x

I was quite unwell after my successful transfer (came down with a really heavy cold the evening of transfer that had me properly laid out for 5 days) so for a good chunk of it I did not move off the sofa and watched about 12h a day of Netflix! I remain unconvinced that what you do after transfer has much bearing on the outcome TBH unless you overdo the exercise. Do whatever makes you feel relaxed and keeps your spirits up. Good luck! xx

The first time i transfer i act normal and was clean just the whole works and it never work. I always ask myself if it was because of the house work and going up and down my stairs. The second time i put my self on bed rest i didnt leave my room didnt do any house work. And both my embroys stuck. It could be a coincidence but i truly believe it is because i rest.

I have had three BFPs from transfers, the first two ended before 6 weeks but nothing to do with not implanting (probably a progesterone issue). First one I took things quite easy and was quite strict on diet and exercise, second one I took two weeks off work and rested, and the third I went straight back into work, long hours, renovated a house, was pulled around by a massive boisterous puppy, carried on exercising, was a ball of stress... And that third has stuck. So I don't think there's much you can or can't do to really makes a difference. All I was told was don't strain your stomach as it can increase risk of ectopic (although I did lift said massive puppy quite a few times and then worried) and now is not the time to start anything new and extreme - so if you're not already doing the ironman challenge, maybe don't start training for that just yet :) Gentle exercise is meant to be good I think. Probably just don't do anything that you'll then feel guilty about if it doesn't work as it's unlikely to be the reason, but it will play on your mind. Best of luck.
