Hi everyone.
I had my first FET today. We had 2 PGTA normal embryos, but both graded poorly at 5BC. I was meant to be having a single embryo transfer today. They called me before I went in for my appointment to say the embryo they had defrosted had survived but had not re-expanded as it should (she called it a collapsed embryo). She said chances were low, but not zero, and did we want to defrost the second embryo instead. As their data is only for non-tested embryos, she couldn't give a success rate for our collapsed one since we know it is normal.
We opted to defrost the second one but keep the other on stand by in case the second one did not survive (they said it had lost its zona, whatever that means). Thankfully the second survived and started to expand. When I arrived they then said we could transfer both, since the chance of both implanting is slim. So now I have a couple of stragglers on board - one collapsed and one with no zona, but both euploid. I have no idea what to think but not feeling hopeful.
Anyone had a similar situation?
