Hi everyone, I’m looking for some help and advice , I had a frozen embryo transfer which ended in a 9 week miscarriage..

I was told to come of my femetab and progesterone at my 7 week scan by the clinic

I had the embryo tested and it was perfect

So I’m at a loss as to what happened,.. so I’m. Is wondering could this be due to coming of the progesterone when most people are stay on it 12 weeks ??

I have an appointment with my consultant in the coming days & I’m not sure if I should mention it ..

please help !!

It would be a good idea to discuss your concerns about stopping progesterone at 7 weeks -it would help put your mind at ease Hope appointment goes well and good luck with further treatment cycles

So sorry to hear this ❤ were you on a lot of progesterone and did you stop completely at 7 weeks? It does seem a little early to me (only because most people on here stay on it until 11/12 weeks it seems) did they say why to stop? Defo best to bring it up and ask as there may be a good reason why they said to stop and it's good to know for next time too 🥰 clinics all differ and it's hard to keep up with what works and what doesn't exactly. Xxx

I'm sure they have a good reason. Loads of people miscarry even with carrying on progesterone, so don't think and worry about it too much. Just good to ask for next time and to put your mind at ease ❤ would be good to see what others think as some may have been asked to stop around 7 weeks too xxx

Sorry for your loss. I would definitely ask about it. You need to ask all questions you have so that you don’t ponder the what ifs forever. I weaned off progesterone at 11 and a half weeks and started bleeding a few days after then miscarried at 16 weeks. I’m convinced progesterone withdrawal has something to do with it. The clinic have now advised that if I’m successful again, I will be on progesterone until 30 weeks. Progesterone is such a sensitive subject to me as a result, but I’ve found you have to advocate for yourself 💔 hope it goes ok xxx
