My clinic don't test progesterone 🙈 I am trying to push for this though for peace of mind at least.
First fresh transfer I bled very early and was on Cylogest only at 800mg per day. BFN
Next FET they put me on Cylogest 800mg and one Lubion injection 25mg per day and it ended in very early chemical. Didn't bleed until I stopped medication though.
Shall I try and up my progesterone this time do you think? Do i have to tell the clinic? And how much did you take when you got your BFP? ❤ thanks so much xxx hopefully I won't have anymore questions after this 🙈 lol

Hi lovely, I was on 2 cyclones and 1 lubion a day, I had 2 bfps from this and if I was to go again I would to exactly the same. Your body will absorb the amount it needs so you won't ever have to much, so I've been told, so the more you can request I think the better. Keeping everything crossedxxx
Thanks Millbanks ❤️ will do. Only a simple blood test isn't it. Does it matter how you insert the cylogest? Is one way better do you know with regards to absorbing it 🤔 sorry tmi xxx
I think some consultants do have a preferred 'route'. I was clearly told vaginally for cyclogest by the consultant, although the nurse said I could decide. I was also on 2 x cyclogest and 1 x lubion. went with the consultant's advice but then I had used crinone gel in the first cycle so was more used to that method. I would say if you didn't bleed early then likely is levels were fine but not harm in asking for them to check.
For my last transfer, i was on 2x cyclogest a day (800mg) and 100mg POI shots and my levels were healthy and high! The POI shot was a new one and I had said prior to transfer to throw the book at me, glad I did! Xx
That’s frustrating. My clinic never tested my progesterone either despite 3 failed transfers. I’m doing a natural FET this time and I’m on 2 cyclogest per day (400x2). I was very tempted to up to 3 since I heard it won’t have any harm but then again I’m scared to do my own thing in case it’s harmful. I have some left overs from last time and had the transfer yesterday. I hope you get some luck with your clinic xx
Hi Littlepeax! If you can, insist to have your progesterone checked on the transfer day. There are studies now showing that it matters. I was on 4x200mg utrogestan (2 every 12 hours) and my levels were low on the transfer day so they added 25 mg Lubion.
My clinic doesn't check levels too and its concerning. My next cycle i will be on 1 cyclogest pessary and 1 lubion injection worried this wont be enough
My first clinic didn’t test but I did have one baby. Then a few failed so I switched clinics. My new clinic tests until you get to 100 and leaves you at that medication dose. I’m currently on 3 cyclogest, 2 crinone, 2 uterogestan vaginally, 2 lubion shots per day, and lentogest injection 3x per weeks. This seems nuts to me but what can I do! Tomorrow is test day but I already have a very dark positive test after 2 embryo transfers. 🤞🏻This was FET number 8&9 after 3 rounds of egg retrieval. Age 40
Yes, I learned a lot on this site about other clinics protocols, some like their progesterone level to be over 30, 40, 50.... but my clinic is 100 - they are happy with anything over 100. I wish there was a standard for this.
My last cycle was the highest amount of progesterone that I had ever been on. It took my clinic some convincing but they went with me on my gut feeling and after checking my levels on other cycles. I was on 800mg cyclogest plus 1 Lubion per day but from transfer after chatting with my consultant he upped my lubion to twice a day and kept cyclogest the same. I honestly do think it helped but cant say for sure. I hind sight I would opt for progesterone oil injections, they are the most effective way of getting it into you but not sure if your clinic would support that. They're painful but doing lubion twice daily and cyclogest twice a day was loads.xx
Thankd Cinderlla ❤ 80mg of cylogest or 800mg? And was it 25mg of Lubion? My clinic seem a little old fashioned so doubt they would do oil ones but i will ask. When people say over 50/100 what is it? Over 50 what lol do you know 😏Xxx
Sorry, I meant 800mg....I've edited it above. 2 x 25mg of lubion I took in the end. Some clinics can be old school which is frustrating. So the units in the UK are nmol/l when they talk about progesterone. My clinic said 50nmol/l was the minimum but they preferred it to be a bit higher and I have seen some say it's better be to closer to 100nmol/l. Some clinics dont even believe in the blood levels as they say you cant accurately measure the levels that are getting to the uterus so it's a tricky subject! Also if you're doing all the meds I was on it can fairly add up!😬xxx
This is what makes me mad lol why are clinics refusing to test progesterone. This has been my issue with all my 6 unsuccessful pregnancies. Can't you demand to get the progesterone tested? At the end of the day you are the patient and they should listen to you xxxxx
