I had egg collection on Monday and they took 55 eggs!! 38 were mature and 30 fertilised, I couldn’t believe it! We are obviously doing a freeze all but I just wanted to know how long it took to recover? I’m still feeling pretty bad 3 days after with soreness and nausea, thanks!

As you’ve collected a lot, I would assume they’ve informed you of the risk of OHSS so keep an eye on any symptoms for that and keep yourself hydrated 💛

If you’re feeling really sick, bloated and have any difficulty urinating for example, I’d call your clinic for advice.

I was told to drink 4L of water a day post egg collection, 1L of milk, eat little and often and try move around gently.

Thanks so much!! Had a call with the doc this morning and he isn’t concerned that I have OHSS just yet but still pretty sore! Wow 4 litres, I’m struggling with the 3 per day!! Xx

That’s in tea and can be your fruit as well! But it is a lot, I didn’t always do it! Just make sure you’re staying hydrated 💛 xx

Took me 3 weeks to recover properly. I was at risk of OHSS. Had to cancel fresh embryo transfer as I was not feeling too healthy to go ahead. All the best in your recovery! I don't miss those 3 weeks 😖

I am still recovering to be honest, much better now but still a few symptoms but guess probably to be expected! I did 225 gonal f for first 4 days then down to 150 and then fyremadel. I do have a high AMH though because of polycystic ovaries and I also think accupuncture helped vs. Last round I got 17 and didn’t do it (also had a lower dose of gonal f) xx
